here's a long shot: i boarded a bus last night when they've started showing this tribal movie. i didn't catch the title, and i had to get off before the story could progress. it's all subtitled in english because the characters were speaking in tribal language. it's about this tribe that was attacked by another tribe, and during the attack a pregnant woman and her young son fell into a hiding hole, and then all the children were left behind... it's all screaming and violence, though i thought it was really well executed (no pun intended), and i was sorry not to get too much of the story. i'd like to rent it on video, if it's available. does anyone recognize the movie, and know what the title is? I think it is only showing on the bus because I just saw it in the bus this afternoon going home j/k

36 Quai des Orfèvres is a 2004 French film directed by Olivier Marchal and starring Daniel Auteuil and Gérard Depardieu. The film takes place in Paris, France, where two cops (Auteuil and Depardieu) are competing for the vacant seat of Chief of lespu while in the middle of a search for a gang of violent thieves. (source: wikipedia) watched this just recently...made me wanna kill Gérard Depardieu's character myself.

I watched Die Hard 4 last week. It was truly disappointing. The movie seemed like a mellowed out version of the first 3 installment. Sure the action was there but it was mostly over the top and the main character John McClane did not seem like his usual rambunctious, take no prisoners kind of guy. I just don't think they did justice to the Die Hard franchise. They should not have made another one of these and left Die Hard a classic.

The Bucket ListA friend of mine lent me this movie. It's a Morgan Freeman/Jack Nicholson film about getting old, about dying and about making a bucket list. Considering what I'm going through, honestly, I didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

TIA. I already watched the movie last week, for me its a good movie indeed, the only thing is the story is too short, the story is a bit similar to resident evil where a virus is involve and turns all humans to type of zombie which is 10x stronger and faster than humans, those zombies also have a characteric of a vampire which they burn and die on direct sunlight. Contradict to the sneak peak that was shown last year, he is not the only survivor on earth, it just happens that he is the last person in the city, I forgot the name of the place. Actions and special effects is awsome. I just wish that they show more datails on how the chaos really starts.

i recently watched 28 weeks later on video. its the sequel to the movie 28 days later which had a cult following. the move picked up six months after the rage virus was originally unleashed and all the infected were supposed to have died out from starvation except for one who had a natural immunity to the virus but a carrier nonetheless. i really wasn't expecting much from 28 weeks later but was surprised to find out that it was actually better than the first movie. it was really really good. it was more gripping and exciting. it certainly was not just another sequel type of movie.
i also saw 30 days of night on video recently and in contrast it was quite a disappointment. the movie is about a group of vampires which attacked a small alaskan town which at some point in a year experiences a natural phenomenon of a month without sunlight which was perfect for the vampires. it was a really good proposition for a movie but i guess the producers just fell short of execution. they really could have done so much more to make it thrilling.
