WATCH THE DAVINCI CODE!!!! if you're not one of those sensitive ones, watch it. if you're uncertain, then don't watch. It's a work of fiction anyway... so i'd still say watch it. hehehe
I liked the film, though those who read the book said that they had to fit the whole book in the movie so a lot is removed.

[glow=yellow,2,300]DA VINCI UPDATE The Da Vinci Code grossed more than P11,000,000 in the first day of showing! That's good, concidering that it was rated R18 (highest rating given for the movie worldwide) thanks to MTRCB, and since S.M. banned R18s from show in their cinemas. It could easily double it's gross if not for those interventions. Very good film! [/glow]

X-Men III
umm... personally i liked the movie. It has nice effects just like before, nice sounds and nice cinematography as always. I liked the part when Bobby and Logan was talking about the last stand before they go into battle against Erik... the part when Logan said "We're X-men!" hehehehe many were laughing discreetly in respect to the other viewers.
watch it! it's worth your money! hehee

It could easily double it's gross if not for those interventions. Very good film! [/glow] Its also a well publicize film. ------------- If you like trainspotting try this brit movie Amazon.co.uk Review Cockney boys Tom, Soap, Eddie and Bacon are in a bind; they owe seedy criminal and porn king "Hatchet" Harry a sizeable amount of cash after Eddie loses half a million in a rigged game of poker. Hot on their tails is a thug named Big Chris who intends to send them all to the hospital if they don't come up with the cash in the allotted time. Add into the mix an incompetent set of ganja cultivators, two dimwitted robbers, a "madman" with an afro, and a ruthless band of drug dealers and you have an astonishing movie called Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. Before the boys can blink, they are caught up in a labyrinth of double-crosses that lead to a multitude of dead bodies, copious amounts of drugs, and two antique rifles. Written and directed by talented newcomer Guy Ritchie, this is one of those movies that was destined to become an instant cult classic à la Reservoir Dogs. Although some comparisons were drawn between Ritchie and Quentin Tarantino, it would be unfair to discount the brilliant wit of the story and the innovative camerawork that the director brings to his debut feature. Not since The Krays has there been such an accurate depiction of the East End and its more colourful characters. Indicative of the social stratosphere in London, Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels is a hilarious and at times touching account of friendships and loyalty. The director and his mates (who make up most of the cast) clearly are enjoying themselves here. This comes across in some shining performances, in particular from ex-footballer Vinnie Jones (Big Chris) and an over-the-top Vas Blackwood (as Rory Breaker), who very nearly steals the show. Full of quirky vernacular and clever tension-packed action sequences, Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels is a triumph--a perfect blend of intelligence, humour and suspense. --Jeremy Storey --This text refers to the VHS Tape edition. may tanong lang ako...i saw ermita kasi last night on tv regarding his view on the showing of da vinci code...he wants it banned in phil theaters. di ko rin nabasa yung libro. pro-banning ba kayo o dehins...why? read the book but haven't seen the film. i'm not pro-banning, first of all because it's useless (in the same way you can't stop the world from spinning), and second of all because i think our set of beliefs should evolve. should christianity fall apart if jesus had a wife? should christians stop loving their neighbor if someone discovered the body of jesus?

I just watch the the vinci code.
I say, I really had a hard time understainding the film. So is most people coming out of the cinema. Like i said before its just a well publicize film. (The local producers should thank the catholic church for this!)
I already heard way back high school of those stories Jesus was married and they are somewhere in france etc.
I expected that they would show the part where Jesus Spends his teeage life travelling in India
I think its just a film worth watching on HBO.

X MEN III - I'm not an X-men fan so I did'nt really like the trilogy. I just think that as compared to Spiderman, The Hulk or Daredevil. Their struggle is not personal... Its just a struglle for supremacy. There's really no depth to the story.
The Da Vinci Code - Now that's a MOVIE! I don't really know whats the big fuss is all about.
Does it matter if Jesus had a wife and living decendant? Personally, I don't mind beacause it will not change my faith.

one thing great about this movie is the acting.it helped a lot not getting those well known actors/actresses for this. u can actually feel the intensity and the drama more watching no name actors. one of the more realistically themed movies.i actually felt some tingling watery sensation in my eye's in some parts of the movie. it brought back memories of that tragic event.

Road to Guantanamo Winner of the Silver Bear at the Berlin International Film Festival, Michael Winterbottom and Mat Whitecross’ THE ROAD TO GUANTANAMO is the ... all » terrifying first-hand account of three British citizens who were held for two years without charges in the American military prison at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Known as the “Tipton Three,” in reference to their home town in Britain, the three were eventually returned to Britain and released, still having had no formal charges ever made against them at any time during their ordeal. The film has already engendered significant controversy due to its critical stance towards the American and British governments. Part documentary, part dramatization, the film chronicles the sequence of events that led from the trio setting out from Tipton in the British Midlands for a wedding in Pakistan, to their crossing the Afghanistan border just as the U.S. began its bombing campaign, to their eventual capture by the Northern Alliance and their imprisonment in Camp X-Ray and later at Camp Delta in Guantanamo Bay Cuba. Super Size Me.
a movie created to watch out for cholesterol we get from a fast food chain burgers and fries (mcdonald's, wendy's, carl's jr., burger king, etc etc.)......... the main character made an experiment to consume mcdonald's meal 3X a day for 30days and he gained more than almost 30lbs in weight...... his cholesterol went up to 200+ and his blood pressure went up too. and the bad thing is his sex life is affected due to being lazy, nauseous feeling everyday after the 10th day and so on. a good movie to watch for calorie freaks. i learned a lot in this movie coz 2weeks ago (august 2006) i had a migrain caused by cholesterol from fast food........

THE DEPARTEDA film by Martin Scorsese losely based on the Hong Kong film "Infernal Affairs" which is actually a trilogy. So far the best movie I've seen this year. I liked the movie very much and think its very cool. Though my chinese friend who was able to watch the original film told me the original was far better.

i watched the movie shortbus last night...very "unconventional" movie i must say...but after watching it, wala lang...i didnt find anything remarkable about it except maybe the uncommon nerve shown specifically by the actress who played the role of the main character...so i'm asking, did i miss something?

here's a long shot:
i boarded a bus last night when they've started showing this tribal movie. i didn't catch the title, and i had to get off before the story could progress. it's all subtitled in english because the characters were speaking in tribal language.
it's about this tribe that was attacked by another tribe, and during the attack a pregnant woman and her young son fell into a hiding hole, and then all the children were left behind... it's all screaming and violence, though i thought it was really well executed (no pun intended), and i was sorry not to get too much of the story. i'd like to rent it on video, if it's available.
does anyone recognize the movie, and know what the title is?
