If you liked Oro, plata, mata... You should watch Insiang and Karnal those are my two favorite pinoy films. i have man. a long time ago. among the classics definitely .iba ko pa trip mga tipo ng "maynila sa kuko ng liwanag," jaguar, pieta...relatively old classics. newer pinoy films bihira ko magustuhan (kasi bihira na din makapanood, that's why) santa santita latest hehe... meaning to see "panaghoy sa suba" and most recently i failed to watch minsan pa let's support the dying industry!

Pinoy movie industry is dying slowly... pare-pareho ang tema ng pelikula... predictable ang outcome ng istorya. Yes, Jaguar by Lino Broca, competed in Cannes Film Festival... OMG! am I that old?

u want a light, feel-good movie that caught me by surprise? the Girl Next Door. don't read about it, just watch it. ganda talaga ni elisha! hehe saw it already several months back even before you raved bout it. may DVD din kami nyan (sa utol ko actually) naalala ko nga nung nag-rave ka about elisha cuthbert. pre di ba hawig sya ni angelica panganiban ba yun? (of santa santita fame) hehe a teen feel good/angst movie yes. pero ako mas trip ko yung mga john hughes 80s films breakfast club, 16 candles, pick-up artist- grandaddy of many teen angst/feel good films. mas trip ko pa rin yung mga ganun even though am just a clueless kid back then
