Congrats to everyone who joined! I think the temperature that day was at an all time high. Sorry I wasn't able to drop by our tent, I was late as usual. ;D. But good thing I was able to meet Sir Arnel. It's nice to put a face to a name. Nice meeting you Sir!
Great Job to the winners! Excellent work to the Sabak boys! Looking forward to the next race you'll be organizing!

A side note... I saw Lito Glinogo (2nd placer and Alibangbang's friend and my co-conspirator on the EA surprise) and Alibangbang today.
It seems that EA couldn't ride as much because he was still getting used to the bike. He said his shifteing was off and he needs to get used to the handlin, never the less he completed 58 laps.
Lito Glinogo on the other hand was leading Dan Dan by 2 laps before the darkness set in. Lito was using a fully rigid bike for the vent. The guys on full-sus were complaining about the washborads...I can only imagine what Lito went through. Anyway by around 7pm he was already cramping in his hands and he was slowing down (for sure this was due to no suspension upfront). Dan Dan passed him, he says around 8pm and took the lead. Dandan was even able to increse that lead to 2 laps in the last 2 hours. Lito made 60 laps and Dan made 62.
Prize money was 2k for the 2nd plce and no cash price for the 3rd, Lito was gracious enough to share his prize money with his friend EA. Galing ng pagkakaibigan nila!
Here's the kicker to the whole story...they pedaled all the way back home to Cogeo from the race site. They said they got home at 2am.
One more note nga pala! Sunday morning these two guys borrowed road bikes and joined the regular Sunday race around the Quezon memorial circle yesterday afternoon! They won a little prize money din daw. HALIMAW TALAGA!!!!
Told both of them that in whatever races PinoyMTBiker is present they can hang out in the PinoyMTBiker tent and we will give them support.

ei king, had to go before the race officially eneded. but at 9:30 p.m. team bmb ( all male) was supposed to be leading by two laps, they were ahead by about 5 laps by 9 p.m. so they took it easy na lang. yup one of them took a spill early in the race and our solo racer tried to help him locate the wrist band because he was ahead by about four laps, but he (Tano, the guy who won the 24 hrs, solo) was accused of taking a short cut and was declared DQ, our support guys contested/ plead his case and he was eventually allowed to go back in the race but only after he was lapped by about 5 or 6 laps na, so i guess he wasnt able to regain the lead, our guy from the team finally got to find his band on the tracks (it was still daylight so he found it near where he crashed) but they too were lapped by the other team but fortunately was able to regain the lead. btw you raced pala using SS , you must've taken a pounding hehehe, coz i heard the terrain was full of stutter bumps. i'm not certain of the final results though. on a side note, our guys were kinda disheartened because again BMB was ill-prepared for the race, they only decided to really join the day before kasi , so the support crew wasnt as prepped as they were during the 24 hrs., and they were only able to field one team and one solo racer, anyways congratz to you, the winners, the finishers ,the racers and all the people involved with this race.its really great to see people converge for these kinds of events. cheers

To Sabak Boys:
Everybody enjoyed the race & you certainly deserve to be congratulated. For the efforts you've exerted I would to thank you. However, being human, I can't help it but feel very disappointed with what happened to me. I was declared disqualified early on the race. The reason? Lost race #. "That's the rule. You loose your race #, you are disqualified." Although I don't agree, I conceded because your decision is firm! But in my opinion, that rule is not sound. Loosing one's number is not a direct act of cheating but a mere unforeseen event. After-all, you issued us 2 #s, I only lost 1. In regards to the argument that the race number is where the # of laps are being counted. The race # is not the official tally. Anybody can use a "pentel" to mark the # of laps in that race #. The official # of laps will still be in your tally sheets. Anyway, you are the organizer, your rules, we abide.
As for me, I'll just consider it as mere bad luck & a few lessons learned.
I hope you'll see my criticism as a room for improvement on your next race.
Again I would like to congratulate you guys for organizing such a good race, I hope that next year will be a better one. Kudos!

Sabak,
Nice race you organized from start ( a little bit late ) to the end with fire works. The Track was excellent, its between XC and AM course, till now my shoulder aches due to the jack hammer like portion of the track. It's good that we have a dry race but with enough heat to drain us out.
Please post the official complete results per category, we are getting bits and pieces of info from the thread. Better if you could have group also on age category FOR THE SOLO, anyway we gave the data in the registration form.
Another request is " HOPING THE TRACK WILL STILL BE OPEN EVEN AFTER THIS 12 HR RACE. " It is a nice short track while my family is in the Mall I can bike for everal laps to sweat on weekend.
LOOKING FORWARD FOR THE NEXT RACE IN '08.
thanks
