wow!!!thats nice to know!!!changed careers, huh? nice to know someone in the same field. ;D Back in 2001 lots of IT personnel lost there jobs, compatition was to extreme and hard to find jobs in same feild. In the US that time is the lowest point of IT jobs beacuase of to much compitation the salary drop so much. Most of the IT jobs outsorce to India, PI and asian country. Luckily my background was in Electronic field (Electronic Engineer) before move to IT. And now back to Electronics ;D ;D. IT is very challenging and fast pace environment so decided to get State license and walla doing as a side business .

wow! i'm wonderin... when can i have CCNA? i haven't got formal semesters for CISCO... puro hands on lang sa previous job ko... haayyy.... I think now a day you can buy a study guide simulate the CISCO switches. Most of the test for CCNA are command line. I never seen cisco switches since 2001 mostly seen today are for home/small business switches. Like linksys are very popular for 2 to 20 users.

hehehe... here in PI, there's a lot of study guides... from greenhills...
i have a cd for CCNA semester 1-4. most of my experience are with CISCO routers... 1600/2600/7200/800 series
but i'm rusty now.... it's been almost two years since i laid my hands on those stuff..
is there a lot of demand in the US now for IT people?

hey eiwol and marvs, i used to work there 2 months ago. only stayed for 7mos until they rolled out the email survey thing which made work pointless in my opinion so i left etelecare and here i am, still a bum. pero will be starting come this may 9 at convergys PBCom tower makati. yeah, etel also has offices at the same bldg. this time i'll be focusing on internet related issues.nice to know there's a couple of PinoyMTBiker at the workplace if i never left that is .

is there a lot of demand in the US now for IT people? Most of the IT jobs are maintenance (company IT support) and most of them are subcontract. By doing these the company save money by not providing benifits. All the pressure are given to the sub contract company. Tech support jobs is very slim to fine.

sayang... but good thing you'll be in another job... what team did you belong btw? well it was never my intention to leave. i love etelecare along with its free iced tea (hehehe ;D). but with all the changes taking place on policies and procedures, i was pressured especially when a lot of folks left especially from my team. we were literally depleted, one after the other until the only one left standing is our TL and a lone newly promoted TSR2 (was supposed to leave but the promotion came in,hehehe ;D) . even our L2 bailed out. in fact, we had 2 L2s who quit. i'm from team chameleon (REL).

oops i was posting in the wrong section pala...dami plang call center peeps here! I was asking in my orig thread about how you guys find time to ride and stuff while working at night.. kasi i work like 9PM to 6AM (but sometimes til 9AM narin) and by the end of the day im so tired. On weekends naman, when i wake up in the daytime, i find it hard to go back to night time schedule on monday and end up sleeping at work, which really sucks.. also, if you guys know any good outbound agents looking for a job, here's our website: www.businessbeanstalk.com/careersthanxx

Masarap mamasyal diyan on a bike in the mornings sa Bayview / Diosadado Macapagal Ave. Tried riding with roadies on fat tires, labas dila ko. Pwedeng mag bike to work, sana may parking diyan.
