(e.g. operations, quality, training, admin, operations support, etc.) somehow this will determine the pay range that will fit your desired compensation. likewise your home location will somehow play an important role in terms of proximity to the workplace...

You also have an option of trying Convergys. Just PM me and I'll get your details too.
No vital statistics required.
Both Etelecare and Convergys are great places to work in. We also have similar compensation packages. So whoever wants to try it out, just PM us so we can extend the list below:

Well if you're thinking of working in a Callcenter here are some things to think about.
What type of account are you willing to work for/ what are your interests.
Proximity from your house specially if you are assigned to the odd hours
You also have to consider not just the actual pay but the whole package. If you wish to work in the Q.C. area then i suggest you go to convergys commonwealth (i believe they have tech accounts in that branch) or etelecare since these are the major callcenters in that area. Personally since i live in UP then Convergys would be a better option for me since commuting along commonwealth is not a problem.
If you are willing to work in Makati you can try PeopleSupport, Sykes or Infonxx (they say that Infonxx offers a lot of incentives to the employees)
You can Pm me your resume if you want to try it out with PeopleSupport.

Thank to all that replied.. ;D What is the difference between the working positions? Could you please enlighten me.. Btw, where in commonwealth is call center located? in commonwealth - convergys is present, its near the church; there's TeleTech in Robinson's Novaliches. in terms of compensation, if you plan to be an agent various programs have various compensation structures because it is relative to the demands of the program as well as the skill. if you want to explore a support position (e.g. traning, admin, quality, etc). compensation within the industry is relatively competitive.

Each center has lots of pros and cons. Some pay higher, some have more benefits, some are nearer where you live, some develop people better. Unfortunately you cant get it all in one place. The bigger centers can offer the best balance in most of them (Etelecare, Convergys, People Support, Teletech etc.). It's really up to you to work hard and show them what you got to move up.
One good thing about most centers is being non-hierarchical unlike most traditional Filipino companies. Politics are minimal too. Movements are performance and skill based. But if your from outside of the industry, usually you'd have to start from the frontlines as an agent first.
There are different types of programs.
Customer Service - This is the most basic one. This can be from any company under the sun to support any product or service. You get questions, complaints, suggestions, reservations (hotel, tickets, airlines), etc. Example: Customer service for local mobile phone service like Smart or Globe.
Tech Support - This is technical assistance for computers, network and internet connection, gaming consoles, cellphones, radios, cameras or any other gadget that needs fixing. (normally it's the customer who doesnt know how to use it correctly that needs fixing)
Sales - Inbound sales like home TV shopping, online shopping sites. Outbound sales, telemarketing and many more. A lot of commissions here.
Credit and collections - Collections for any credit lines like credit cards, in house credit for shopping centers like Wal-mart or any other kind of debts to financial institutions.
There are more like Directory Assistance, Medical Transcription, email and chat support, back office stuff, etc.
From there, one can move up to different roles, positions or levels. Support roles for operations like Quality Monitoring, Subject Matter Experts, Communication Coaches, Trainors etc. Then there's leadership like Team Leaders/Managers, Shift/Operations Management. There are also regular company positions like HR and recruitment, IT/Network Administration, Facilities, Finance/Accounting etc.
I hope this gives a bigger picture of what us Call Boys and Girls do. ;D
