just enjoyed seeing THE CONSTANT GARDENER (ralph fiennes, rachel weisz). magaling ang execution. gorgeous african landscapes pa. same director as CITY OF GOD, so what'd you expect. sayang lang kasi i read the book so alam ko na story. I saw this last weekend too (chose it over Cinderella Man). Amazing acting from Fiennes and Weisz. Wasn't too happy initially with the jerky "documentary"-style camerawork (ala NYPD Blue), but it definitely added to the realism and intimacy of many of the scenes. |

I read the first chapter of the book , kaso 10pm na, magasasara na powerbooks actually medyo nabagalan ako sa book, daming ek-ek. mas maganda ang execution ni direk sa movie, hanep pa sa cinematography ;D |

I saw this last weekend too (chose it over Cinderella Man). Amazing acting from Fiennes and Weisz. Wasn't too happy initially with the jerky "documentary"-style camerawork (ala NYPD Blue), but it definitely added to the realism and intimacy of many of the scenes. tsaka that style of cam work helped in dilluting the brutality of some of the scenes. like nung ni-raid yung isang village. CINDERELLA MAN is also good! ewan ko lang, baka ma-bore kayong mga guys, it's too quiet. pero that's one of its stengths. it doesn't call attention to itself. tsaka maganda naman yung boxing sequences. a**hole daw si russell crowe in real life, pero who cares, he gets into you. my favorite scene there is the begging scene. hanep. |

obvious ba namo-movie marathon ako to escape stress ;D
TRANSPORTER 2 is better than the original, faster-paced, makes no apologies, and requires some suspension of disbelief (like, you know how he got rid of the bomb under the car...?). kaya lang walang pretty leading lady (ang cute nung girl sa original film e). malakas ang dating ng bida kahit dehins pogi.
DUBAI (okay, it wasn't my idea to see it, but when my friend invited me i put up zero resistance, still it wasn't my idea....) has an interesting scene showing a popular tourist activity there: driving 4x4s over the sand dunes. looks fun!

Y tu Mama tambien  ---- according to some of my friends it was a good movie. but i haven't actually seen it. With honors (brandon fraisier)- very good movie Monsters Inc. Be cool ( sequel to get shorty) - very funny movie Jose Rizal Enemy at the gates Pearl Harbour Indiana Jones movies gone in 60 seconds fast and the furious 1 all the jackie cha movies kung fu hustle and shaolin soccer |

i didn't like Y TU MAMA TAMBIEN very much (haven't met a guy who didn't like it though heheh) pero i liked EL CRIMEN DEL PADRE AMARO, which also starred that sizzling mexican actor gael garcia bernal. *swoon*
ha??? porn star ba yung actress sa TRANSPORTER? e mukhang anghel a. i've been trying to remember where else i've seen that actor jason statham. oo nga sa SNATCH, tsaka sa CELLULAR sya yung kidnapper?
SIN CITY is good nga, kuhang-kuha raw yung comicbook original sabi nung mga nakabasa. pero kung blood and gore din lamang e may tatalo pa ba kay quentin tarantino (see KILL BILL VOL. 1, dabest!!). ;D

Godfather Trilogy is still the best then i like to watch classic Filipino movies from 70's to late 80's like Lino B. movies,De leon, C. Castillo,Rono.Recently i watch "Nasaan ka man" by Laurel- its a good movie.Lets support our local Movie industry for the strong Phil. Republic! Go PGMA !!!

speaking of animation, one of the 26 films showing at the spanish film fest is animated (EL BOSQUE ANIMADO, the enchanted forest). lovely artwork, promise. i don't remember seeing another animated film that shows shifting depth of field, yun bang nag-iiba ang focus nung scene?
haven't seen RESERVOIR DOGS. imagine that. only quentin tarantino can outdo quentin tarantino in showing violence.
COOLANGOT, yung mga movies ni gael garcia bernal napanood ko rin lang sa film fest last year. i don't know if they have them at video city, baka dehins.
