The true sport of the world and no one's bothered bringing it up I'm not a big footie fan and i do hope we have a few football fanatics in tha house to enlighten us what to expect in Germany. Will Brazil get it again? I am so amazed by this sport, it's the only ballgame that deserves to have a "World Cup".

Will Brazil get it again? With the R's in this team ( Ronaldhino, Ronaldo,Robihno, Roberto [ Carlos ] ) I think they will win it again the Dutch , Argentina, Spain, Portugal, homeboys Germany and the Englishmen ( Overhyped daw na mag Champ ) are strong teams. But as they say " the ball is bilog " remember the first game of last '02 WC, France and Senegal ? and Greece winning Euro last year upsets are sweet pay per view raw live games, just dont know were it wud be broadcast

joes - scary indeed there's not a lot of futbol followers. and thanks for calling it futbol, soccer sounds so archaic/north american...
in last night's top 10 list: Top Ten Signs You Have World Cup Fever 10. You change your name from Kenny to Pele 9. On tax return you list occupation: "Hooligan" 8. After you successfully toast an English muffin, you rip off your shirt and run around the house 7. Whenever the mailman shows up you scream, 'MAAAAAAAAIIIILLLLLLLLL!" 6. Have a tattoo of Czech striker Pavel Nedved on your ass 5. You replace your hairpiece with chunk of sod from Wembley Stadium 4. Aches, a rash and vomiting - - I'm sorry, those are signs you have Bird Flu 3. In accordance with league standards, you've inflated your pants to 8.5 pounds per square inch 2. Every four years, you walk around in a Brandi Chastain sports bra 1. You're not American

They're showing it in Solar Sports, delayed by a day or two, I think. The England vs. Paraguay game was televised last night. I think the pay per view for solar would be 2,800 php. Haven't been watching the game... Because I just KNOW I'll be buying a jersey of my fave teams. Argh argh. Go Portugal! I'm for the underdogs!

Im a brazil fan myself pero im disappointed w/ their performance... unlike argentina na super consistent... i was hoping for a south america team vs a euro team in the finals... gusto ko sana brazil vs england but both teams aret showing signs of domination so far... england's michael owen is injured pa... patay. for the meantime ill go w/ argentina and brazil... i want germany to lose... hehehe so much for their home court advantage hehehe

futbol, to quote joes is the only sport around where every team plays on a level playing field (no pun intended). its spectacular to see teams from africa ( a couple of them this world cup 06) slugging it out and giving teams from developed country a run for their money. i even read one article that european league teams are setting up academies in africa where they train local players to play in their respective Euro leagues. south africa is scheduled to host the world cup 2010. so watch out for the africans. pinoys given the proper training and exposure should make good futbolistas! i will love to see a south american team vs a euro team in the final (brazil vs. england? )

thats what i heard,5th in the world???heck no!!!the world cups arent for them, parang sa DH,no luck sa UCI so they invented NORBA........AND OH, THIS IS BASED FROM BIKE MAGAZINE... the US sucks in futbol as much as they suck in downhill... hehehe... funny how they created NORBA coz they couldnt win in UCI... its just like how they "re-created" other sport like football... all were european sports at first (rugby), so what they did is get big black slaves, put on pads (so it wont hurt boohoo) then call it football... even though the foot is never used on the ball except for like 3-5 times when u have to kick it and make the ball go between two metal posts... then they call the ORIGINAL futbol as "soccer" hahaha....

This is not only about the game but I noticed some of the poster here dislike the Americans? Is this jealousy how the American is successful country? Sorry but I'm not a American born but this country provide, give me better life and opportunity and NO OTHER COUNTRY CAN DO BETTER. I would say is my second country and willing to protect anytime. Some people they hates America but in there heart are trying hard to migrate and have better life. Dont get me wrong also lots of people here hates America but they still around. If they hate America so much they should get out and go back to the country they love the most. Did your grand parent told you that without the Americans soldier sacrifice (twice) probably your not around?
I'm sorry but soccer is not that famous here because no MONEY and boring game! If they will break the game in 4 quarters it may create sponsors. Probably some kids moving to that direction if the money is great.
Remember UCI is also part of Tour de france and who was the best all time?
I hope I would not offend anyone as you offend other member.
Just remember think before you post and may offend someone.
Lets ride.
Sorry for the OT folks..

nyahahhaha.... dont get me wrong jr, im just posting the details. hehe. as for me, i dont really hate America. But in some sports, i'm not wooing for them, and in some i do. football is not really boring, if you're into the game. so as to billards, golf, chess, cricket, baseball, basketball, cycling, athletics, swimming, triathlon, tennis, badminton, table tennis, patintero, sungka, jackstone, etc. You find it interesting to watch when you're really into the sport. Football has more crowds than the olympics, and yet i find it boring... but that depends on who's playing. hehe
