And Italy made it. They are the better team. It's just sad to see France great player to lose his cool in the last minute of the game. Congratulation to Italian team.

My sentimental favorite was France because of Zidane. Too bad he exited his colorful career on a bad note. I have yet to see the replay of the game to see what made him headbutt that italian guy, materazzi. sayang, france should had made it 2 in a row with mauresmo at wimbledon.
The '06 world cup was full of surprises, i think the same is happening at TdF.
Vive le Tour!

I am a Zidane fan & Real Madrid casual fan.....but his actions .......headbutt was very uncalled for..... he knows he's a markman being the most popular & most talented on the field.....it was not a good example of a living legend of Soccer..especially a world cup final & his countrymen needed him the most (vierra suffered an injury).......provoked or unprovoked...period....sigh...

don't you be talkin about my mama Zidane appeared to react to something that was said and was dismissed for his violent charge into his opponent.
"He told me Materazzi said something very serious to him but he wouldn't tell me what," agent Alain Migliaccio told BBC Five Live Sport.
Sources in France say it is believed Materazzi insulted Zidane's mother.news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/world_cup_2006/teams/france/5164094.stmzinadine! yo mama so fat! if she were your goal keeper, we'd never score!!
