been a while since i road my bmx (when i was smaller ;D) but now i'm bigger so i got an MTB and again practicing where i left off from bmx. recently did bunnyhopping again and at first it really felt different coz of the change in geom, and my shins are killing me when i bump them off the pedals (have scars to prove it) but after practicing and several body pains i eventually bunnyhopped again ( half foot pa lang naman more practice again when i want higher grounds) and at times i chicken out to go even higher coz of fear of injury which might affect my "moneymakers" ;D puhunan sa trabaho by lingo' but now am trying to conquer it ;D intense said: this is the exact same method my best friend used for me to learn the hop, very exact and i guarantee you it's the most effective way to learn it. when someone hold the middle handle bar for you then there's nothing you do but to lift the rear wheel and observe which motion/muscles do it for you, for me i observed my feet and hips doing the most wonders, and when i applied it in motion it indeed worked! me? well now my routine every bike ride to practice is lifting the front and rear by succession, front muna then rear, ako i lift each wheel almost 1 ft at a time, doing it 10x then lifting the front and rear altogether, my next project is the correct way to trackstand hehehe how i wish i don't have work on saturdays so i can be with you guys, sunday's my off from work and i mostly ride urban assault alone in the parks (luneta/baywalk/amari/intra/etc) anyways see you soon guys if we came accross an EB of sorts ;D

Should've learned to properly bunnyhop before I rode last sunday with the masters (mr. & mrs. atomik, pasaway louie and mark) in Intramuros, could've saved me from making 'kalat'! ;D Ok lang, at least me 'tocino' na ko sa binti... ;D Didn't realize that the downhill (kinda steep for me) section in front of Mcdonalds in Intramuros was that steep. Aniweys, before you guys go on trails with gaps or jumps better learn the basics properly, baka magaya kau sa kin....

After almost 2 years since I bought my mountain bike, and quite late for my age I finally made my first ever hop w/o clips...in other word a 'genuine bunnyhop' ;D, sometimes I cheat I wore a clipless shoes in order to make a hop pero peligroso yun don't try it! I made an 8 to 10 inches high hops depends on the pull of the front and strength. Need more practice for air-time masaya na ako kahit gutter height lng ;D.

since many are asking how to do bunny hops let me then ask you this...............what's easier to hop? full sus or hardtail? for me its easier to hop on a hardtail bike... Probably its because I learned from a hardtail 1st before shifting to FS.. imho its better to learn on the HT because you dont "cheat" yourself by using the rear shock to spring up with the bike as to the opposed full body effort of pulling your bike up.. But usually for the "big spenders" or yung mga may kaya na FS ang 1st bike, they tend to not be capable of the hop's once they get on a HT bike...that's the disadvantage ;D
