Bukoy 'pre...pasensya na napagkamalan ko kayo ni mr. suave na iisa lang ;D Sa bunnyhop...in my teenage years I've been doing it from age 14 to 19 on my bmx...then 13 years na huminto sa pagba-bike...then last year I started riding mtb...so mga 6 years lahat. But nowadays takot na ako to go too high...I have a wife and two cute girls na kasi..he..he..and I'm 33 na rin so pakonti-konti at tiempuhan na lang ako mag-bunnyhop nang ganyan ka taas ngayon ;D And sa ngayon...tip ko lang sa 'yo...state of mind has a lot to do if you want to learn to jump...kelangan focused ka But of course before you can do that, you will need to learn the basics first... 1. Lift your rear wheel without using the front brake. 2. Lift your front wheel to as high as 1.5 feet. 3. Learn to shift your weight using your hips. 4. Learn to do small bunnyhops in one place..."small" means as high as one inch only...pero sunod-sunod...like a series of 10 static small bunnyhops...you can use this to balance yourself in one place...and it looks so cooool

One more thing...it helps to have something to jump over with...i started jumping crack on the road..he..he..lahat yata ng cracks na nakikita ko noon tinatalon ko ;D Then I progressed using small twigs...then I wanted to know how far I could go so I scattered sand sa pavement namin and jumped on this and measured take-off point to landing...in my teenage years I can go as far as 3 meters...ngayon swerte na siguro ang 1.5meters..he..he.. ...sa height naman, to increase your jumping...I used hollow blocks...start ka sa isa (pahiga ang position ng hollowblocks) then slowly progress by adding one each day or week on the stack...you'll be surprised one day kaya mo na pala a stack of 4 or 6 blocks ;D Pag di ka kasi naglagay ng obstacles na ganito dehins ka magpa-progress

I might have posted this already, but just in case I haven't... Here's a link to BmxBasic's tutorial on the bunnyhop: www.bmxbasics.com/new/bmx0703.htmlThe author goes into painstaking detail, breaking the jump down into individual movements and illustrating everything with pictures and videos. Of course, it's meant for BMX riders but the same principles and techniques apply to MTB as well. Good luck!

styx pareho tayo...have been doing bunnyhops din on my bmx during my teenage years...33yrs old na ko ngayon ;D i can still do the bunnyhop sa mtb but iba ang style dapat para mataas ang angat...sa bmx kasi you can just lift both wheels and you'll fly high sa mtb iba...if you want it high kelangan gamitin na technik is lift your front first...this is what i'm trying to learn pero...dahil medyo may edad na nga...the spirit is willing but the bones are weak..ha..haaahh.. ;D

Anybody here who cared to watch the "Torque" mtb video? There's a small section who featured Ryan Leech teaching some techniques on how to do the bunnyhop...the video is in slow-mo so you can clearly see how to properly execute it

may share akong tip para sa gusto mag aral magjump or bunnyhop...turo sa kin to ni master bans mendoza, mike borja and boyet camba...madali maintindihan and ma-execute...
for starters pinagawa sa kin ni boyet camba na magpedal three times while standing, stop as in kill the momentum (without losing the balance),and then start to pedal again...ang gear nasa 3 or 4..not too light...di rin mabigat...tuloy tuloy yun mga 1 block ata ng kalye paulit ulit...the purpose is when you stop tapos you have to pedal again the intial pedaling is the "torque"..mejo pag matagal mo na ginagawa kasi gigil ka na and aangat yung front wheel mo...kasi nga from a complete stop na nakatayo papajak ka...napansin ko na umaangat nga yung front..
to practice moving the rear using your feet and pedals eto ginawa ni bans mendoza sa kin: 1. sit on your bike and have someone hold the front for you..so face toface kayong dalawa...mas maganda pag nakaupo siya sa front wheel and holds the center of the handle bar to make he front stable... 2. so ikaw naka hawak sa handlebars mo and nakaapak sa pedals and nakatayo... 3. position your feet nasa 3 o clock and 9 0 clock positions dapat and dapat pantay...front pedal should be like this / and back pedal should be postitoned liek this \ 4. wala ka nang ibang mararamdaman na gagawin pa kundi paangatin yung rear dahil stable yung harap and you'll ffigure out easily what muscles you will use to do this!
pagka may momentum na and your body, feet and pedals are in the right position you're ready to jump! straighten your body, hatak sa harap while your feet in this position \ / carries the rear naman...

sa lahat ng ginagawa niyo dapat be one with the bike
if you are learning to do a bunnyhop..modify your bike for convenience (for practice lang ng beginners) pag na modify niyo mas madali kayo matututo
dapat yung bike kung san mo gusto papuntahin dun pumupunta
lower your saddle proper pedal grip hold your bars as far as the end of the bars para sa balance mo use flat shoes nasa gitna dapat ng paa yung pedal pag platforms lefty or right ka man...kung san ka comfortable place either footforward it's easier to pull the front of the bike if the bars are set up high or using a riser bar
in doing the bunnyhop..kung hanggang san mo napapaangat yung harap mo..yun ang potential mo na kaya paangatin yung rear mo...
