If I could go back in time, the only thing I would fix is this nasty smoking habit. Being hooked is hard...

smoking?....used to...for 15 f%#&*$g years....just stopped 10 months ago...the reasons for stopping?
1. tired with it 2. money matters, what then goes to the stick now goes to my bike 3. realization of the BAD taste 4. a nurse told me so 5. just think about it

any updates on the quitters?
Here's a song for you guys and gals:
K'S CHOICE - "I Smoke A Lot"
I smoke a lot I'm not talking weed or pot I smoke the regular stuff I smoke a lot And if you're a smoker too You are to know sometimes it's tough To be in healthy company People who always say You smoke a lot Imagine the amount of money you could save if you'd quit You smoke a lot By now you'd have a bike, aren't you concerned about the kids Well, of course, sure I am, concerned (a bit) But about that bike, I could get killed with it And is that what you really want (It's not)
So I smoke a lot I smoke a lot My God I smoke a lot, and I feel fine And I feel fine I smoke a lot
I smoke a lot I smoke a lot I smoke a lot I smoke a lot Sometimes it's great Sometimes it's not But I smoke a lot I smoke a lot I smoke a lot I smoke a lot

quit smoking last december, till today I have'nt tried even lighting a cigarette.lucky I am still alive. What I did is eat fruits after every meal as substitute for 2 to 3 sticks I usually burn before, I can say it is really hard, I gained lots of pounds now because craving for food is one of those things brought by quitting. Ive been sick for almost 2 months now since taking medications that free the lungs of phlegm. Coughs , colds, runny nose, that hindered me from hitting the trails for about two months. Hopefully I can surpass this health condition I'm in to.I want to hit those trails with my two daughters someday. I want to say good bye to that 12 years of bad habit .(smoking)

I stopped smoking last Tuesday around 1:00pm. After a hearty lunch, I decided to quit cold turkey and threw the rest of the smokes in the trash can. So far so good... I was at a P.A.L. graduation ceremony today and even though almost everyone there was smoking, I did not feel the urge to light up a single stick. Thanks to my lil' brad and to The D. for all the tips and encouragement. =)
Sana tuloy-tuloy na.

i was a heavy smoker before. i smoke more than a pack a day for 8 years, the regular pack ha, the 20's.. dehins pa kasi uso yang mga ten's nuon! but its been more than five years since i quited.. not a single stick! one day i just decided to quit.. it was suppose to be my new year's resolution but i quited on the 3rd day of january. wag kayong maniwala sa mga new years new years resolution na yan, the only right time to quit is "NOW". at dapat zero talaga pra matawid mo yung nicotine craving. i beleive you cannot quit sa "dahan dahan" na paraan, you will be just teasing your body and the "need" for nicotine will never go away. anyway, the hardest part for me was resisting the temptation of my smoking friends and family.. they are always offering me a cigarete and say "kunwari ka pa, sige na", as if breaking my will. and its true, at start you will feel the terrible craving. magkukunwari kang ayaw mo.. shet! it was really a struggle! for several months its been like that until they are convinced that i am really serious about quiting.. it took me half a year bago nawala yung craving tapos tuloy tuloy na. now, they are telling me never to smoke again, i think i have given them hope that they too can stop. sa ngayon isa pa lang ang tumigil sa kanila after me.. atleast. he is also a biker, biking really helps too.. the more you bike the more you become health conscious. diba? to quit smoking mindset and will power lang talaga ang kailangan! so my vote is "use to smoke"
