Let's welcome our guest Pedro (schwinng) with a group singlespeed ride! I think there's only one other singlespeeder in the group he rides with in LA, so it would be great to come up with a group ride DATE : JUNE 9, 2007 (SATURDAY) VENUE : LA MESA FOREST RESERVE TIME : 7:30am, VIOLAGO PARKING For those wishing to join the ride but do not know the way to Violago parking, please coordinate here so we can meet with you at Shell Gotesco, then convoy to Violago gate. Geared riders are welcome to join! Bring: 1. 200php entrance fee 2. 2-3 liters of water (if we go all the way to Tower 1, this much water is a must!) 3. Trail food, snacks 4. Cold water waiting for you in your parked vehicles See you guys and gals this Saturday!!!!

tofi, the violago gate is just in payatas so it's not that much farther to bike if you cant get a ride. maybe another 15mins max from gotesco. or if your already coming from marikina, turn right towards litex/payatas instead of left towards gotesco/sandigan. List of riders: 1. scwhinng 2. mcvarki 3. MrsM 4. fullspeedl (tentative) 5. bikester (tentative) 6. 32x18 7. cherrybomber 8. JMlag 9. Edmund M. 10. Raul 11. King (tentative) 12. Tofi - wont miss this ride but i dont have a ride going there.can someone spare a spot on their vehicle for me going there? ill pedal all the way to Ever Gotesco or if there is another option let me know.im coming from Marikina btw

Hey Jay, you can use your gearie if you like, I'll be using mine since I'm lending my SS to Pedro (excuses! hehehe). But except for Towers 1,2,&3, lamesa is very SS friendly naman right?

aha! There's a Tower 4? Hmm...King, did we ever ride there (been a while already so I've forgotten!)...was that the route that skirts the perimeter? By all means, geared riders are welcome to join Jibs, it's doable on that setup (I'm just concerned about chain skippage and slippage with your smaller ring and cog).

Tower 4 is actually at the corner of the left turn, going down to tower 3. the one with all the waterbars. the route around the perimeter goes to Tower 2, then around the other side of Tower 1

Last time we rode the whole loop with Agu and the other singlespeeders, we were back at the parking lot before 12, but the trail was hard packed and easy to navigate that time. I'm sure now it will be muddy, harder to ride. If you want to finish earlier, you can forego tower 1 and head back after reaching tower 3. But 12 at Sta. Rosa might be a stretch Hope you can still join us Jeever
