Hi P.A.
You did well today. The route we did was the one of the most challenging combination of trails you can find in La Mesa.
To everyone who rode, thanks for an awesome experience. Too bad we had to leave early, would've been nice to talk SShop.
Til the next one! Hopefully Edmund, King and other riders will join. Maybe we can do it at a leisurely pac? Those rangers (especially DenDen) are fast! hehe
I've got a bunch of photos. Michelle, can you sms me your email addie? I can send you attachment-friendly sized pics. Alternatively, I can burn it on a CD as well.
Happy trails!

Great ride indeed! And with great company too. We almost covered the entire La Mesa in half a day. ;D Thanks to the race pacers for that. ;D ;D ;D 'Twas great meeting new friends -- schwinng (Pedro), jmlag, 32by18, sup, cherrybomber, manitoo, boyet, baboinsky, radical's friend & a law student dude... and riding with the classics -- bikedaddy, MrsM, mcvarki, R A U L, tofi, marcs, fullspeed, collagjiero, cobym, radical1962. We would like to thank Pedro for treating us to a sumptuous meal after the ride. Happy Birthday Pedro!!! ;D ;D ;D

Respects to the SS riders. I was hoping for more gears on those climbs and these guys were just blasting up! Great ride everyone! And happy birthday Pedro! Btw, make sure you bring LOOOOOTS of water if you decide to ride La Mesa. There are no refuelling areas and it can be like a sauna inside.

That was really fun! Thanks to everyone who joined the ride. As usual, those singlespeeders (you know who you are) amazed me with their pace and the way they cleared the climbs to the towers After the ride, some of us headed to Grilla for lunch. We were supposed to surprise Pedro by telling the servers we were celebrating his birthday;D (we wanted to get the free dessert they give for birthday celebrants ;D). But instead, he surprised us by secretly settling the bill when he excused himself to go to the restroom. Thanks a lot Pedro! I'll be posting pictures at the events gallery as soon as i'm done uploading them. Till the next SS ride (I promise to ride mine too next time ;D)

Guys!
Thank you very much for the ride!!! It wasn't really planned but God made everything happen when we saw you guys on the way to Maarat. It was the best change of plans ever.
My friend from Maryland, DRIX, really enjoyed the ride. Eventhough he had a hard time adjusting to the humidity and despite the spill he did in Tower 3, he really had a blast and couldn't say enough good words about the trail and the company. He said that this ride made the hassles of transporting his bike to the Philippines all worth it.
Sorry but we had to rush ... sayang we missed the food! But the company was really great!
Till next time

A classic ride indeed! Thanks to MrsM for organizing the ride and to Schwinng, Happy birthday man! Thanks to everyone for the camaraderie! BTW, that was the first real SS trail ride for me and Judex. Pain, pain!!! The real SSers (not us) were simply unbelievable on the climbs. We, on the other hand, should have worn more comfortable hiking shoes. The ride was full of forgetfulness - At the start of the ride, I felt like I forgot my legs at home. On the climbs, we forgot why we signed up for this SS insanity. After getting up the towers (on foot), I almost forgot my name. On the downs, we forgot all about the pain of the climbs. when's the next one?

Belated Happy Birthday Scwhinng! Thanks MrsM/Matt for organizing the ride! To all present, thanks for the company and shared stories (manitoo, it's 'wari' time!! hahaha!). All SSers during that ride are my idols! I'll be joining you guys in a month or two, but I'll be sure to walk the steep climbs. My first ride with PinoyMTBiker folks is a very nice experience. I was all smiles at the end of the ride despite the exhaustion.

Happy Birthday to Pedro, the boy with the Strong Legs! I think it must be the water over in the US of A.
Thanks to Mr. and Mrs.M for organizing the ride. It was great meeting many of you and it was nice to finally put faces with the names we so often see on this board.
Til the next time.
Let's see those pics guys. I also have some that I'll be posting soon.
