OMFG @ extendead! i think i know who.............. hahahahah
yes there are.... but i mean gender is not an issue..... its the 21st century, the DH community is a very vulnerable group, you can never be certain about anybody.
What if your riding partner for the longest time suddenly opens up brokeback issues with you on the trail when no one can hear you scream or ur too tired to make a run for it? or you suddenly get drunk n pass out at a party n wake up the next morning with that long time riding partner in bed naked and covered in both your semen? thats gna be one hell of a secret to hold onto.................... hahaahaha
hence: sodomy

also Fomula One and Moto Gp RACEDAY IS SUNDAY
NFL is on sundays.
No work and No school on sundays
christians go to church on sundays
Sunday is family day to most filipinos.
Sunday is day off ni yaya, boy and inday u see them in luneta and malls.
but the east coast chicanos who assembled it called it "domingo",
but you can ride it anytime of the day 24/7 like sun cellular.
sunday morning - bolshoi
everyday is like sunday - morissey
sunday bloody sunday - U2 (Bloody Sunday (1972), 14 civil rights protesters shot dead by members of the 1st Battalion of the British Parachute Regiment in Derry, Northern Ireland)
I dont like mondays - bob geldof/ boomtown rats
Isang linggo pag ibig - imelda papin
I dunno sometimes it's vienna sausage and
sometimes its jumbo hotdog when the need "arises"
how bout this one

dear sir bender, 1. can you define fear and how it is related to DH. 2. do you still feel fear? how/why/when/where. 3. does the right bike components/accessories increase your confidence exponentially or logarithmically? x=y3 or x=logey where, x=confidence, y=components/accessories 4. does confidence reduce fear? or just mask/hide it? will fear ever disappear? 4. is fear addictive? will withdrawal symptoms occur if you stop receiving constant doses of adrenaline? 5. does facing DH fears significantly improve other aspects of your well being? 6. what would you do if a long time bike buddy asked you to do brokeback action with him? please enlighten us, theflea

dir kuya badi,
why do we say "para" when making the jeep stop?? "para sa tabi!" " mama para!" even nonong of tagaytay understand dat... in cebu is it still "para"
why does wen dowhillers or XC boys miss the stop.. every one shouting "hoy!!"
and when we are in the point of crashing... we say nothing??? can we not say "para" so the bike stops?? and save the day??
thus "darna!!!" comes when crashing mode na??

1. can you define fear and how it is related to DH.
........Fear is a condition wherein the individual is in a state of confusion, disarray, chaos or just mere ignorance of what your limits are ... but when harnesed correctly it also builds motivation to overcome that certain fear.
2. do you still feel fear? how/why/when/where.
.......... Um,Yes Everytime i strap on my helmet, my mind can focus 99% but theres always the thought of 1% where i can just crash n burn..... because its normal........ evrytime i strap my helmet hehehe....... everywhere...
but that fear harnessed and allocate to 1% in my dormant part of the brain is what will drive me to deliver the other 99% focus.... the 1 % tells me:
"smoothen your lines or you die" "loosen up your entry n exit angles or you die" "when doing big-air at high speeds dnt pull up too much or you die" "If you dnt et go of the front brakes on rockgardens you will die" ......... yeah, sumthing like that, now u know why i become sober on a bike.....hehe
3. does the right bike components/accessories increase your confidence exponentially or logarithmically?
x=y3 or x=logey where,
x=confidence, y=components/accessories
................ exponentially. in DH confidence is equivalent to experience, everyone started somewhere, and that is how legends are born.... for e.g. Ado de leon.. hehehe he started racing 1999.. he wasnt equiped with the shiny long travel bikes but he was armed to the teeth with decades of MX, DJ, bmx..... hehehehe....
4. does confidence reduce fear? or just mask/hide it? will fear ever disappear?
Yes, an increase in confidence reduces fear... but not permanently.... or until such time you crash and start wondering why and you start blaming equipment that in the first place should be increasing your confidence? .... am i right? hehehe
but as your riding experience grows your confidence will progress with it, then all the bling gear for your bike is just a plus....
4. is fear addictive? will withdrawal symptoms occur if you stop receiving constant doses of adrenaline?
At an early stage yes fear is addictive. this fear will fuel you to ride harder and push that fear over the boundaries of the norm. we, ve tried riding 365days a year for 4 yrs.... shite man... withdrawal? hahahaha.... one way ticket man.... all of us went crazy afterwards, now we just ride 2-3x/wk.........
..... you really wanna know whats addictive? its ripping sick lines on ur bike the whole day on a far from home,work,family,vices,women....and more women..lol.....trail, and get through the day with out a scratch and go back to reality and just sleep with a sweet smile of fulfillment.
fear is just 1% remember......hehehe
5. does facing DH fears significantly improve other aspects of your well being?
yep, it does.... it teaches you the law of physics all-over again in just 4 mins @65kph.... hehehehe
6. what would you do if a long time bike buddy asked you to do brokeback action with him?
ummmm...... id say no, i have my own tool to play with im happy......
** hey jail was different! it was mandatory but brokeback? voluntary? lol wtf... hell no! hahahahahahahaah......(trans: having siezure due to excessive laughing!)

fattire.. mmmmm maybe tlbf 08 subic... i ressurect the old gang...hehehehe.. omfg im pretty sure were gna get arrested for something, i can feel it already...lol.... why do we say "para" when making the jeep stop?? "para sa tabi!" " mama para!" even nonong of tagaytay understand dat... in cebu is it still "para" ..... so what am i suppose to say if not "para"? .......... shite stop my nose is bleeding...FKn A! lol why does wen dowhillers or XC boys miss the stop.. every one shouting "hoy!!" .......... this is to ensure that they will hear you, because fullface helmets cover your ears so your sense of hearing is lowered and "HOY" at a very loud tone can be very Definitive! lol ** For riders that listen to mp3s at blasting volumes inside their fullface helmets... just use rocks the size of small chickens and theyr gna feel that pretty much if it dsnt knock'em unconcious hence stoping them......lol and when we are in the point of crashing... we say nothing??? can we not say "para" so the bike stops?? and save the day?? No, you cannot i have been trying for 2 decades to say "P____g I_a Mo"! while hurling thru the air ... i just cant seem to finish it before impact..... its always... "Puuuuu____Arrrggghhhh! ARAY!".......... lol..... cuz your body is too busy flexing the muscles and the mind is panicking cuz your eyes are looking for a neat place to crash.... zzzzz why? have u seen anybody crashing with a close up smile and praying our father while flying in mid-air?......... thus "darna!!!" comes when crashing mode na?? ..............Yes Darna.. instead of swallowing the stone.. the downhill darna embraced the rock!

And remember, in Downhill you'll only know it hurts till it hits you............ (trans: parang love!)
but seriously, the loss of ability to reproduce is not monopolized by being hit on the family jewels.... a doc frnd of mine told me that,a serious hit to the sensitive parts of the pelvic area may also halt the production capabilities for the next generation. certain nerves n muscles may be affected......
note: bar-ends, tires, pedals, rear derailleur, brake levers, cranks(yes cranks! took me out fer 2mins while twisting in excruciating pain n agony)...... the saddle and top tube aint the only candidates for major reproduction malfucntions.... hehehehe....
no! the rock @holy trail took my tailbone... thank you(after recovry took me bout 3 weeks to get an erection) ..how sad! lol
........next question please:

nice chi!! no comment!! when will u bring ur between the tape dibidi??
answer buddy for wat you did??
people who think our post are just stupid and trying to be funny and doesnt really concern about downhill?? and offcourse we tend to go off the topic once in a while..
its not their fault why they think it this way, they have the very right for this MODIFICATIONof the thread for it goes beyond the rules?? right??
as i see it, some people doesn't truly yet understand the sport of downhill and should i say freeride.. in this sport of downhill or freeriding, i stress again the idea of ATTITUDE, those who aren't doin new things (lets say stupid enough to try this stuff) will never push the sport forward. during the 97 to 98 years.. the mountain biking industry ( the big ones in the US, euro and canada) told the canadian guys like wade simmons, ritchey schely, brett tippie were just a bunch of morons jumping their bike off cliffs.. because its not race oriented.. it was a boo boo in the biking scene.. the magazine at those times only featured riders from either the race course or doing something a sweet single track..
but years later, the progression cant be stopped.. there where the kranked series, the north shore extreme series, a bunch of single realease films, the new world disorder series.. as of know they continue to progress... i dont know why?? may be the attitude towards the sport is pushing it.. the attitude to go further and try new things..
even if u look at the PRO DOWNHILL RACER here and abroad, they have the attitude of trying new things that can i say started only as a joke.. example, the GAP JUMP THING IN PALAWAN ASEAN MTB CHAMPIONSHIPS it was only a small jump, then the designers of the course thought that it will be best if its done over a river.. and so it was.. when the locals of the DH scene came to palawan, they where afraid!! very afraid!! but no one said that it was a stupid thing.. they say it was pure genius.. why?? it started to elevate the local scene on how the course should be designed.
i myself did not try the jump for it way to much for my ability and skill (just only 15 to 20 ft gaps.. hehehe)for that jump was around 35ft long or more.. i even thought that the foreign countries will protest to it...
it was Friday.. the Iranian team saw it. what did they say?? " wow this is huge! and i like it" how did i know? cause we where at the receiver discussing it. it also the same day that most of the LOCAL Pros came and same comment they brought out..
during those 3 days in palawan, i realizes one thing.. local n foriegn alike have the same attitude and lifestyles. the PASAWAY factor in it.. i saw the taiwanese team doin wheelies at the hotel corridor and filming it.. the hong kong team partying like animals..
bottom line of this, what u read on the thread is also the same what we talk about during the races, trail heads and when we are just together.. im very happy for the thread cause it was not "bracketed" to a cetain category..
its just ask bender and a couple of guys answer.. anything under the sun..

are we killing this thread??
if i may say... or maybe.. WALA NANAMAN.. sa topic itong post ko.. but i dont know where to categorized it...
to those of the people saying that DHer's are just a bunch of hooligans and retards who doesn't care about this proboards?? ahhh.. with our numerous banned... hehehe
i guess u are wrong.. its a good thing that REDNEB, whom is also a very good friend of mine, created this thread... its also a good thing that it is not categorized.. for i u want to ask about suspension set-up , tire press, etc.. its all there.. parang all-in-one promo. we care about the sport and how it is goin in this proboards. we want to guide newbies to DH so they wont cursed it... we share what we have experienced in the years of riding DH.. i guess more than DH, from riding epic rides and trail rides, to simple "byahe at kain" type of rides.. from doin the streets to some dirt jumping to hucking... even trails riding..
we are as much concern about the post we make, some are stupidly answered but still we gave correct answer to the queries..
ever wondered why there is DH racing?? or extreme freeriding??
because it is the F1 ( formula 1 ) of mountain bikes.. the pedaling capabilities of their XC bike were results of tons of input from DH racers wanting pedaling efficiency on plush travel bikes.. like the models from GIANT, INTENSE, SANTA CRUZ AND SUSPENSION COMPANIES LIKE FOX, ROCK SHOX, MANITOU... their XC bikes, all-mountain bikes are by products of research and development at Maribor, Nevegal, Mont st. Anne race courses. from DH bikes they are downsize to fit the needs of many riders wanting to ride the simple trails..
the SPV technolgy was develop for DH bikes not XC bikes nor all-mountain bikes..
fox forks have based their first fork at DH runs.. remember the add "downhill performance at cross country package"
yet all this technology the common people or the week end warriors like most of us benefit from this developments. its rude to say.. if big companies did not trust the likes of john tomac, steve peat, to wade simmons, Super T, bearclaw, cedric... maybe we are still riding 2" travel bikes and V brakes..
Downhilling is more than just for the adrenalin junkies as most common interpretation to us... downhill is very technical and adventurous segment of mountain biking..
as Eric Carter says.. it is easy to ride down the mountain.. what is hard is to go beat the clock at break neck speed..
waaapaaaaaaaakkk!!!! i think i hit a tree.... ;D
