I don't know of any barrel chested riders. Most pro cyclists are actually small in the upper body. Big Mig was just a big, tall guy overall. Triathletes are different. They have big shoulders and wide lattisimus dorsi from swimming. But I can't think of any that I would call barrel chested. ung mga barrel chested..un ung mga may problema sa inspiration/expiration.. usually lumalaki ung lungs/thoraxic cavity nila dahil dehins mkalabas ung inspired air. ung mga experienced riders naman usually have the same size of lungs but has increased oxygen delivering capacity or increased capacity to inspire air. yun lang

Another reason bakit may hinihimatay on this sport kasi during increased activity there's what they called blood pooling( more blood goin to legs, arms and other peripherals) leaving the brain less blood. for people with pre existing condition siguro mas ok kung you'll talk to your doc on how hard you can go to this sport and also inform your bike buddies about it para naman alam nila(nakakahiya pero it'll save life!) pag hinimatay due to exhaustion, usually pahihigain lng sila with both feet in the air supported by a chair or something.. o kaya nakaupo sa chair with their heads between their legs... ang point e dapat mas mababa ung ulo nila compared to the rest of the body..para mas mas mataas ung flow ng dugo sa utak... un lang

Lung power and heartrate work together. In training there's what we call "Rule of Specificity"If you want to increase your aerobic power in cycling, you have to train in cycling.Build up your aerobic foundation by doing prolonged training on your aerobic zone(60 to80% of your max. HR)In cycling you can do this by using a HRmonitor and riding with a high cadence(80 to 95 rpm)/less resistance pedaling or small gear. This is how Lance A. ride for the past 6 yrs.If you want to improve your climbing endurance/skills, do RC or repeat climbing using high cadence/small gear.Good luck.
