i saw goyo post one for sale for around 30K (as far as i can remember), pre-owned. the 575 is the frame of my dreams because it has a lot of good reviews at mtbr.
flipinidaho also has a 575, i saw it the 'perfect endo' topic in the general discussions thread. bongjumber also has a 575. maybe it's the choice of our pinoy brothers abroad? hehe ;D

Price at the website is about $1,400 for the all aluminum and $1,600 for the one with the carbon swingarm. Have asked sir goyo about it and he says they can bring in Yeti frames here

Yeti! Yeti! Yeti! (ayaw ko ng may kapareho) Hey Raul, too late pare, I think a lot more people own Giant Reigns than they do Yeti 575s. Pero ok lang yun, mabilis ka naman, you always get to the top of the hill first, just tell the people up there (if there's any), "I got my Reign before the guy or guys coming up." ;D

We definitely should ride. We could set something up with Team Karma--I'm sure you'd love the hills here in SoCal. Late Oct., early Nov. is perfect, some of the guys will be in Costa Rica doing La Ruta, I believe 3rd week of Nov., so it'll be perfect. Just PM me or Jun before you get here--man, you're going to have a great time! Sama mo si Tofi! ;D

I can vouch for the 575 because I tried both at Bootleg on Monday. The 575 wins hands down. The frame is much lighter than the Reign.

(and i heard the warranty is lifetime. i think, hehe.) just me though

i envy you guys who have bike shows over there. i've attended only one in Japan (and they didn't even have all the major brands) and it was heaven already. what more when you can actually ride it out on the dirt???

mountguitars, the warranty is three years. 100k would be only the frame and shock. if i was in the Phil. i would choose the Reign bec. of the availability of parts, price and mechanics over there know it pretty well. I did mention before that my buddy broke his chainstay/frame three times although Yeti came through and replaced it everytime but as you know it's a hassle if you can't ride for a week or two.

Unforuntately, it really is like a yeti here. Some talk, but I have not seen one Maybe if I can get enough interest one of the bike shops will decide to be a distributor hehehehehe Here's the complete bike shot of the 08 575. From BikeMag.com . . . "Move on up the line to Yeti’s “hands-down biggest seller,Ethe 575, and Yeti fans are in for some more welcome changes. Squint, and you might just think it’s a Santa Cruz Nomad, but unless you’re colorblind there’s no mistaking that trademark Yeti green. In addition to some fairly radical tube shaping and hydroforming, the new 575 sports an optional shaped carbon seat stay for added rear end stiffness and weight savings of about a half pound. Overall the new frame is said to be 30 percent stiffer than last year’s. The 575 also got a few small geometry updates. “We were early to the game in the lightweight/long-travel market,Esays Conroy, and because forks have gotten bigger since the 575 made its debut Yeti wanted to go back in and tweak the geometry to bring the bottom bracket back down (3/8Elower than last year) while still maintaining a 68.5-degree head tube angle. All 575s (as well as AS-Rs) come with full Ti-hardware kits. And the bike can be built into either a sub 25-pound XC bike or a go-anywhere yet-still-sub-30-pound trail bike, with a fork like a Fox 36 up front and a DHX shock in the rear. Sunday I got a chance to borrow a 575 with a mostly XC build (Shimano XT, Fox RP23 and Fox 32 fork) for a morning of riding the lifts at Keystone, and the thing pedals as well up as it does down."

"Racers and weight weenies will drool over Yetifs new all ASR Carbon frame. It features an integrated seatpost, new carbon dogbone shock link and utilizes Shimanofs new press in threadless bottom bracket system. Weight is just 4.2lbs (med) while rigidity has been increased by almost 50% over the current alloy version. Seat height is adjustable 30mm with three different height seatpost clamps offering a wide range of almost infinite adjustability. There will also be a standard 27.2 adaptor for those wishing to cut the seat mast off and run a traditional seatpost setup."

I wish they didn't take out the top tube knuckle on the new 575's I've been wanting to own a yeti for quite sometime already. The only thing preventing me from owning one is the rider weight limit on the frame that I like (575). Diba Velo City used to be the official distributor of Yeti in the philippines? I tried to look for the updated distributors list and they weren't there anymore. Oh yeah, this frame might actually help me achieve my dreams of owning a yeti. ;D www.bikeradar.com/mtb/news/article/yetis-dramatic-new-seven-up-close-12577
