Chris King is the Best because it's a Chris King Jewelry that Mr. RC fried our mind , but same function as the other Hubs, Innovation fad.

the hope's you can get from Sta. Rosa Bike Shop it's what i'll get if i have bike money to burn. those who own sez they can't even compare it to king hubs. since i don't own one, you're review sources will be limited to mtbr.com (try the AM Discussion threads) and the owner of Sta. Rosa Bike Shop who runs a hope pro yata or bulb, forgot already in the real world, my '05 32-holes xtr hubs get my lovin' and praise, booyah!

ringle! gotta luv the klik klik klik........... ;D mine drives freeman & mountG crazy.... ;D hehehehe.... ;D Hahaha ... so do my Ringles ... When you have one, no need for those bike bells, just stop pedalling and people turn their heads automatically when they hear the crisp n beautiful sounding (or annoying to other folks) TIK TIK TIK TIK. Otoh ... makes it a lot harder to sneak the bike out of the house ... Chris King hubs also have a distinctively loud buzzing sound too - do all high performance hubs with lots of pawls make lotsa noise?

indeed,if money is not an issue.go for the big ones, Hope,CK's, Ringle
so far i've used only 2 types. and i can say Shimano owns it. i've used a pair of m475's (Malaysia) for like 3++ years w/out any maintenance whatsoever and it never complained.it just kept on spinning and i kept on pedalling. and i've logged some century rides with that and tons of river crossings, muddy rides.everything one can encounter in mtbiking. what more for the higher end models w/c i have yet to try.

you gotta hear those Hopes. if you think CK's are noisy, Hopes are like screamin "hey my hubs are expensive!". i dont know why they have to be very noisy. if i have lotsa money i'll go for those quiet ones like DTswiss and I9's. i bought CK's for the sake of having one. there's really nothing so special about it. it's expensive bcos of its name or maybe bcos it's US made. i dont feel any difference between it and a paralux. this time i bought Hope bcos its cheap and light. made in UK is an extra bonus

Tofi ... master PasawayL also swears by his 3 year old Shimano 475s ... however he recently crushed their bearings (and snapped the rear skewer in two!) by havin one bunnyhop too many. My ringles have seen more than their fair share of Manila river crossings too (when streets are flooded enough to submerge most of the wheel hehehe). ungas ... what kind of sound does the Hope rear hub make?

Chris King is the Best because it's a Chris King Jewelry that Mr. RC fried our mind , but same function as the other Hubs, Innovation fad. Well, that's the difference between a silver and a gold. Mr. RC of MBAction will not review anything w/o a big return, its a biz!!!! In fairness to Chris KIng, it's worth to buy his product because it performs well aside for being a piece of Jewelry.

it sez here you have got to try the product first. But if its a vote, my best hub in the world would be a PHIL WOOD . Philippines thats made of wood. Got nothin to do.

I've worked on a bunch of hubs and my vote goes for XT/XTR... Specially now that they have a 20mm TA version for both...

Chris King period ... worth every penny. 72 engagement points engaging at the same time all the time. Everything is relative, if you haven't broken your hub in all places, then maybe what your using is the best. Relative including pricing...its US made so it would definitely be more expensive. A better brake than magura HS33 is made in China but costs twice...THAT is not fair hehe For me nothing feels as solid as a King. Everything else on my bike is c rap except for the hub ;D IE an accera crank drives my king hub hehe The best is when you can order a spring for your hub way after your warranty expires. Every single part is replaceable and available direct from CK. Can't do that with an XTR. mythbuster (reply to an old post hehe) you have to ride one, once you tried it you will know its not the same as other hubs.
