I've tried using ballpen springs for replacement, for holding the pawls. Same thickness. if ever its thicker we file it or hammer it down to the exact size till it fits, sometimes if the ballpen spring is much stiffer the clicking sound is a bit louder. Just sharing.

We use keychain springs to mod hubs, ive done that with a dabomb and a shimano. The secret is not only in the springs but lessening the grease and putting oil instead. The thicker the lubrication the slower the pawls are and the less noise it makes.

BTW, I9 has both the hubsets and wheelsets.
The hubsets use the regular J-bend spokes while their hubsets use straight-pull spokes.

Affordable, Adorable, Lovable... Not so heavy at 661 grams per set... not so expensive at 4.5K for front and Rear... As bling as the CK... like the freewheel sound of Hope... I like the Element Technium XC101...

I like the Element Technium XC101... sir bong, what is the weight of these hubs? do they use sealed bearing or cup and cone? how many holes (32 or 36)? does it come with its own skewers? P4.5K seems affordable. can you post reviews of these hubs? i've been looking for lightweight affordable hubs. i hope this is it. thanks for posting.

They have sealed cartridge bearings. I wonder if you can buy the cartridges here. The item is quite interesting- especially for riders with budget constraints.

I also can not comment since I still don't know the bearing part number... Hopefully, the bearing is not hard to find in the market. I'm also using this Element hubs for a year now and possible to replace the bearing soon...

I'm not selling my Kings. They pretty much have the same performance. Ringdrive trumps pawls hehe Yup that's why they're so d@#n noisy! But seriously speaking who has the biggest market share of the high end hubs? Here in the US, Chris is STILL the King. Chris King hubs are still the number one choice according to MBAction readers by a big margin. I9's and Hope are good alternatives. DT Swiss 190's would be my weight weenie choice and XTR's round out my top five.
