I guess Php450 will be fine considerng you're in Cavite. In Cainta, Rizal, Maxxis HighRoller 2.35 (with orange line marking - heavygat) is sold at Php350 per piece. Just recently I bought a pair of HighRoller 2.1 (Blackwall - folding) for Php350 each - maybe old stock. @ losiphilewhere did you buy the 2.1 High Roller, folding - blackwall? i'd like to try this one first Bought it at Full Force Cycle Center, 35 A. Bonifacio Ave., Cainta, Rizal. If you're coming from Rosario, Pasig turn right at Cainta, Junction, the store is to your left going to Cainta town proper. Very near na sa Junction. There are other tires na folding doon like Lopes Bling-Bling 2.35 yata, Larsen TT (?). Here's the pic nung nabili ko:

ive also used Duro 2.7's and 3.0's which surprisingly isnt in the Poll... common naman yan dito sa atin... ive used that for grotto rides since matatalim ang bato dun... mejo madulas sya but i find them excellent sa moist hardpack! high sidewalls also adds extra 1-2inches of suspension for drops! You guys know any LBS in QC that sells Duro Leopard tires in 2.35's?

IMHO, for XC/ trail applications, been using (since final Q '04 until 3Q '05) Kenda-licious particularly Blue Groove & Karma except for some issues that badly plagued me... Tumours.
Now, am trying Hard drive & Maxxlite 310 from Maxxis... As well as, Hutchinson Bulldog Light. So far so good with Slime-Stans (50-50) concoction.

Onie,
Can you post the weight of the Kendas you used against the ones that you have now? I'm seriously considering running on Stans but since I'm using Karmas, this is stopping me. How's the Hard drive and Maxxlite? Please post the weight. How much? How good does it clinch on trails? How's the rolling resistance?

bruce i used stans with my karmas and would use them again except that the supply of sealant in manila seems to have dried up (pun intended). wala sa all terra, dans or john wilkie. any other dealers? extreme? sabak? powerbikes? i'm using the kenda short tracker 1.95" now because i took my bike on a road ride yesterday. pumped them up to around 60 psi and they worked well. pretty low rolling resistance. havent tried using them on the trail though. i'll try them in timberland in a couple of days.

Here's the match-up: Kenda Blue Groove UST 2.1" 780grams ±5 grams Kenda Karma UST 1.95 650grams Maxxis MaxxLite 310 folding 1.95 310grams ±2grams Maxxis Hard Drive folding 1.95 (1.85) 470 grams ± 5grams IMHO, if not for the tumors, would still go for Kenda. Best combo (for me alone): Blue Groove front then for the rear Karma. If one wants more rolling efficiency, slap in a Klimaxlite UST*** (670±15g) at the rear...Then put Karma up front. In the end, try to experiment what will work best for your riding style. Mix & match. Just bear in mind, in every set-up there's alwasy always a trade-off... Thank you. *** Klimaxlite, there's a 1.75 version (550g) if you could only grab one pair here. I have been looking for that size but to no avail before i was badly pestered by the tumour issue...

I find it hard to believe that Maxxlite is lighter than Karma. Even, Klimaxlite is just a tad bit lighter than Karma. How much and where did you get your Maxxlite? I've been meaning to ask you about your tires since I saw you at Allterra last Sat. Bruce

I know that... you are referring to the folding type alone... Haven't used that.. What i used before... is Karma's UST version po... The folding type i think it's around 400+ grams...
Hehehe! Kaya naman pala po!!! ;D
Reason for ed1ting:
Addendum ________________________________________________________________________________________________
At Paulina's, 1,4__+ petot for a piece of Maxxlite po... Try to call 'em up first... Since Lovely told me that there was only 3 pieces left... just to be sure that you won't waste your time going there...
