Golp, Settle for the LT na lang dude. With the price mentioned, it'll be worth the price and upgrade. pwede rin...kase baka sobrang laki ng travel and sabi ni max sa review nya on this thread na malakas yung bob pag urban riding....sa trail da best....pero mas madalas kase akong mag urban e. diba nakakabawas ng pedalling efficiency pag malaki yung travel? correct me if i'm wrong...kaya mas gusto ko sana yung ST version. thanks!

I don't think nakakabawas sa pedalling efficiency ang LT kasi kabit naman ang pedal forces to the wheel on a hardtail. Its just your butt that gets suspension and only when you need it most- when resting your weight on your saddle. When you hammer, your weight is off the saddle and on the pedals naman. Check out the thudbuster website, may explanation sila tungkol dito.

Golp,
Agree ako with cobym. Your on a hardtail and not on FS bike.
If you're going to settle for an ST, then it might be no different if you'll use the telescopic seatposts di'ba. Masyadong maliit ang travel and parang walang upgrade kang ginawa.
Agree din ako kay scooter. Play with the preload adjuster and you'll be fine for your urban rides. If that doesn't work, use the harder elastomer.
Hope I helped.

maxb, yung turnilyo na humahawak dun sa elastomer, dun ang preload adjustment. 1 thread showing, softest... padami ng padaming thread showing (pasikip), mas tumitigas... max of 7 threads showing lang ang allowed

lxmania2,
I had that problem also. I'm using a shim. I have a 30.8 frame and the seatpost is 27.2. Read it in a forum somewhere that a few adjustment of the shim a little tightening will do the trick. For me, i just rotated my shim, tightened it and it worked out just fine and it didn't slip anymore. One time I used a bit of dirt (fine sand) and rub it on the tube.

di ba pag nag-compress yung elastomer bababa yung seat height? dehins ba masama ito from a pedalling point of view? kasi sa fs bikes, pag nag-compress yung rear shock, seat height remains the same. tama ba?

Anyway, since you started this "MO" topic, I suggest you go ahead and find out from Velocity or whoever sells this product and get a group purchase price already based on estimates of 10, 20, 30,, etc. buyers then when you have that make the pitch here on the boards. I'd be interested in this but too lazy to make the inquiries.

Hey! I'm having the same annoying problem with the slipping seat post! Sometimes, pag dating sa gulaman sa sta rosa, parang 2 or more inches na ang binaba ng post. (actually, tamang tama pang downhill na hehehe But seriously A new seatpost clamp would work, I guess. May mas murang alternative ba? that will not entail any 'soldering' or other permanent damage?

thanks GaVinChie id like to know where u bought your Azonic clamp? is it a quick release clamp? how much and where did u get one? lxmania2, I got it from Veloworks along Kamuning near Edsa. It's the sister company of Velocity (8322352). Sad to say that they have been close for quite a while already and indefinitely opening soon. Price was Php800. I chose the non-QR type para iwas nakaw and mas makapit. That I can assure you. Goodluck pre.

Pahabol lang pala pre. Be sure to mention your seatube size of 31.8 for a 27.2 seatpost.

Actulally Odie I do some maintainance on them after every ride. I disassemble and soak them in plain water over night. Yun lang. Have no idea kung if that contributed to the lasting of the elastomers. At least, I think they are relieved by the constant pressure when used. Tama kaya? Also I put some lubrication once I install them.

@ gavinchie IMHO dont you think the soaking overnight in water will damage the plastice/rubber elastomer? also, some lubes contain oils/alcohols that can damage it as well - (unless it is recommended in the manual) -- as with most plastic/rubber products they recommend to clean with water and a rag (sometimes with mild soap) btw, i don't have a thuddy yet but will get one soon! - anyone selling or willing to donate haha! max, i'll buy yours nalang!

MaxB - any news on your warranty claim? I suggest you take a picture of the broken elastomer and send it to them...then tell them that you will post the pic on mtbr.com if they dont replace it right away ;D
btw, here is the email add of ykk : ykktrdg@skynet.net
