ridiculous how great an upgrade this thing is... i took it on its 1st ride with me yesterday... soaked up every bump like a freaking sponge! if i do get an fs bike its only because i'm building a freeride/dh rig... my hardtail is now a full- fledged trailbike... not just for xc anymore ;D ridiculous how good this thing is... ;D

Q.E.D. for the Thudbuster!!!
So for those who are still in limbo about buying, my advice is don't.
It's REALLY worth the price.

i haven't tested my bike's handling in corners since i got the thuddy... but as for going out of the seat hasn't happened to me (yet). will asses how it performs in the next couple of rides. as for now i'm just way to busy riding my butt off (coz it just feels so darn great... )

SUAVE, No difference at all on sharp curves but on hard bumps, you can tell sometimes that it pushes you forward. Anything than that, it works great...

My review: Thudbuster LT @27.2 diameter (Using both blue elastomers)
On Urban Riding
Lakas ng Bob when you are hammering , grinding the pedal. Hate the fact that youre being moveaway from the Handlebars everytime there is a bump. @ P4700 i think its to da*n expensive!
Yup your hardtail rides like an FS. But only when youre sitting down hehehe So comfortable compared to my telescopic suspension coil cheap seatpost. The shiteee Neverfails to work on everybump. Like a couch! This is gotta be the best suspension seatpost everbuilt. Nothing comes close!
Rating: ;D ;D ;D out of five on Urban terrain
On Trail (At Sta. Rosa)
Ok so this product rocks! Really rocks! You can really appreciate this more on trail than in in the streets. Going up seems to be more easy even if I expect that the "Bob" will eat up power. On downhill (Oh yeah!!) I can now seat and just glide through rocks and stone hehehehehe. Plus I feel less fatigue after a ride.
I give this ;D ;D ;D ;D out of five on trail Use
Facts
Rider weight: 170pounds of Fat and FriedChicken with Rice (including: bladder, helmet, clothing) Bikesetup: Giant XTC SE3 with Marzocchi 03 Italian Bomber MX Comp. Turvativ Firex, WTB Power V saddle with aluminum railings
Price: P4700 Bought at velocity cartimar Plus: *Shims: P650 I feel like velocity really ripped me off on this one!
*Thubuster LT diameter is at 27.2, bought the shims to accomodate the 30.00 of Giant frames

I've been using the Thuddy for quite some time and the only problem i have, it pulls you away from the handlebar... not bad after all after some adjustments of the saddle... i got a long stem but im thinking of trying the short stem and see what happens... Comparing it to a FS bike, its kinda different coz, in a FS bike even standing up you still have suspension.... Im using this thuddy so i have comfort while sitting down... I prefer the standing position though ;D

ive ridden some F/S bikes, but never on a full trail. (pahiram hiram lang ;D)
A full suspension bike is definitely better.
A thudbuster is just one way of making your hardtail as a close to an F/S bike.
and what do you mean by spinning the rocks?

Max,
You were saying that you were ripped off??? with what? the shims? ;D ang mahal pala ng shims dyan... Crudbuster? no need para sakin kasi i wash my bike after every ride so it wouldnt be a problem... Mas ganda sana tingnan but its additional expense... i make sure lang to lubricate it regularly... tinanggal ko ngayon kasi nasa garage lang bike ko and it's getting colder na baka titigas ang elastomer ko
mad_doc,
sorry po kasi dehins ko pa na try and rock shox na tinutukoy mo so di ko ma compare... kung may info na ako I'll let you know... about the prices of the above, i think the LT more or less $95 and the ST $85...

A thudbuster is just one way of making your hardtail as a close to an F/S bike. and what do you mean by spinning the rocks? ******************* Spinning the pedals when riding over rock gardens Thats what I noticed na diffrence ng fs/hardtail dito sa trails namin Sa FS you can spin yourself out of trouble, kakagat ang rear wheel sa terrain, and the suspension will just soak up the bumps ( allowing you to spin nga ) Pag hardtail, dehins pwede yun. So your handling skills will ake the difference. Ang laki kasi ng travel ng thudbuster at 4inches, baka it might have the same effect

dude i have a cheap telescopic suspension seatpost (which was made daw by DNM) parang dehins ganoon ka efficient ang ganitong seatpost. it only works when you sit down. lulubog nang kaunti then, ganun lang. Or pag nagpajump ka and fell on on yer seat tsaka sya gumagana. although walang BOb sa pagpedal. Plus mas maliit ang travel
about the price?
there are two kinds of rockshox seatpost yung isang mas malaki travel mas mahal pa sa Thudbuster mga P5+++ yung pang comfort bike nila is around P2500
You can also check them out at paulinas. Doon ko siya nakita.
you may also wanna consider carbon fiber seatpost
Allegra
Hmmmm never notice the way i Ride sa mga rocks. But will try to ride this seatpost on trail ASAP para makapagbigay ng komento at argumento ;D

doc, i've tried the rock shox suspension seatpost on a bike my friend owned before going fs and let me say that thing is a P.O.S. its heavy and it doesnt do anything. cane creek thuddy's are the authority in suspension seatposts

**************** Basta technical or steep slippery terrain napansin ko lang mas maganda mag spin instead of powering thru ksi pantay ikot ng gulong, dehins mag skid

MaxB,
Pre, huwag ka nang mag-crudbuster. Our TB looks better without it.
Ika nga, "If you have it, flaunt it." Naks naman.

May nakita akong thudbuster sa VeloCity leveriza. P4900 yata selling price. Di ko lang alam kung 2G sya or 3G
As for me, kailangan ko lang ilabas to....
OK na OK na OK talaga tong Thudbuster! Just got mine direct from Cane Creek over the internet. Mahal lang ang shipping saka bwiset na customs duties na yan.
but worth it. It breathed new life into my hardtail. Dati, sakit pwet. Now no more. mas tatagal ka on your bike. PEdal through the rough stuff kayang kaya. I just love this seat post. I wonder lang kung ano effect kung ilagay sya sa FS na bike. Waddya tink?

Nice! Congrats Scooter. Been trailriding an HT with a 2G thudbuster for 4 solid years. Was very satisfied. I agree with GWM, Canecreek still is the authority of suspension seatposts. It simply works and will make you ride longer
