if you usually bike to work... might as well buy a cheap mall bike... that way it wont hurt as much when your bike gets stolen.

Good point, but if I was to bike everyday to work I would want to be on a comfortable and sturdy ride Aaah this country makes things so hard.. Correct ka dyan. Very comfortable to retire here indeed. Except for Pain Low Lifers such as bike thieves and bikenappers inflict on us fun loving PinoyMTBikers. Nakaka-Asar. I wish I were in the cutting edge of the tip of the sword again so I am paid to unload M14 Sniper Rifle calibre.30 Garand round on said bike thieves with impunity. One Shot. Sure Kill.

hmmm anybody considered removing the pedals when leaving the bike... so that the thief will have a hard time pushing it around... unless he has a bike rack on his car...
haaaay! hope you get it back... report it to the lespu na!

i agree to getting a 2nd bike lock, its enough deterrent to make the prospective thief to lose his enthusiasm. Imagine.. having to break a lock twice? hassle.. iba nalang! (trans; lets move to greener pastures) ;D

to all you guys thanks for all the comments, suggestions and support you've all provided..this would be a lesson to me and heads up to all those planning on leaving their bikes on pay parking lots, be extra careful, like double bike locks would be advisable, and il also give a scripted answer if somebody asks how much is my rig(ala call ctr agent)..ive already reported the matter to the parking supervisor on duty that day..they said that they'll keep me posted(yeah right)..feeling ko its an inside job..il try to get a 2nd hand bike so i can still bike to work and save up on another rig for those special rides...thanks guys..and im also planning to upgrade my rig with a GLOCK system...thanks again and hope to see you guys on the trails in the future.

if you can afford... bring a chain (kadena not just bike chain) that chain-breaker cant break..... plus a good padlock... ala construction worker type of lock.......
downside: heavy brightside: cant break em'....
