Had a not so good fall Last 02-20-08... I'm really glad that I do have a good helmet for protection... I'm really glad that my helmet did served to its purpose... maybe If not wearing one, I may have land on my head and cracked my skull... worse I could even die being stupid of not wearing a protective head gear while biking...

That is a Helmet from Trek...Kevin.
I was the riding buddy of Nell7806 last week when I saw him flipped over and face planted after humping downhill across a mound right at the very bottom of Palace in the Sky where fireroad continues on from concrete along Pulo-Diezmo road in Cabuyao.
Yes. Nell7806 is very ok because Trek Helmet absorbed the brunt of the fall instead of his frontal cranial bone.
Right after the fall while Nell7806 was lying on his back in a state of shock, I noticed immediately that the frontal portion of Trek Helmet was cracked fully. I asked Nell softly " do you know my name?"
"FaFa Rocky" he replied.
Right there and than, I thank God Nell was OK.

helmets, helmets, helmets. acquire even the cheap ones, if you ride you should have one. This is my second life, thanks for my wife she bought me one. It happened so fast, the last thing i knew bike was on top of me, it was paved road going downhill. Hydration pack protected my spine and there was a big crack at the back of the helmet, if not for it, it would have been my skull. I had it framed by myself and displayed at LBS so others will know.
The seaman guy who had an accident too at the wall last Feb 9, 2008 had the same damage to his helmet just like Nell's, left front with the visor coming apart too and his shades made a slight cut on his upper brow so be careful with those shades too.
My helmet was brought from Divisoria 168 Php 300 Spalding China
Seaman's helmet MOB Taiwan.
No matter the origin they do save lives.

I just don't know if its expensive, its a Bell Faction, Steve McCann signature series, its the only thing thats branded in my bicycle equipments, everything else is least expensive. Thats why i love her so much.

thank God for the helmet. that must be some nasty wipeout brad. hope you're okay. I'm doin really good now... the bad thing is, since there is no replacement yet... I'm contented by watching bikers pass by and to avoid of using my bike without helmet, I remove the pedals for me to avoid mounting without the helmet.

It's because I was riding with one of PinoyMTBiker's well experienced rider of the organization... Again... I would like to thank Papi Rocky...and what a very lovely "Ibis Mojo" hope to do a 2nd run of that route by having a picture perfect ride...

YIKES! Glad to know the rider is not only smart, but also ok! The pictures tell a good cautionary tale! I think It's Tantamount for a MTBiker to mount a headgear before goin into any ride, simple or super techy...lets teach others to wear a helmet...

As per Papi Rocky's... what also saved me is the Hydration Pack I'm wearing/Carrying... I guess if not for it, my back could also have like my legs and arms acquired... An over scrab session at the spa...

yes sir... I think having an extra helmet will sometime do us a bit of good... all heals have recovered but the heck, can't help but to somehow be afraid of riding without the proper head protection... after the incident, while I'm riding my bike, it somehow gives me the shiver... I guess that incident created a phobia on my side... not in riding my Trekky (actually deep inside me there is this kind of outrage that wants to go out and ride again) but riding without a protective shell for my head... How I wish it's already May for the Mid-Year Bonus...
