Las Pinas area.
This is the shortest route connecting Cavite and Manila.
Specifically Pulang Lupa area
Unconfirmed Reports of Bike jack in the area. Just take extra careful at night. A friend was chase by hoodlums and gangs in the area.
lespu precint are located neara bridge right after pulang lupa (If you are Manila Bound.) Also at the front of Bamboo organ.
The area is said to be a drug pushers and the drug users territory. (Am not suggesting you buy in the area ok?)

(Am not suggesting you buy in the area ok?) here's an alternate route.............. if you're coming from tambo paranaque, turn right either at sto. nino or kabihasnan to sucat road. ride straight to gatchalian village (you may pass evacom, but you'll have to pass caa which is quite questionable security wise also). go through gatchalian, and airmen's village til you reach naga road, turn left when you hit the shell station at naga road, and ride til you hit casimiro road. then ride up to alabang-zapote road, go through bf resort up to the moonwalk gate. pass through moonwalk up to marcos alvarez road and ride up to molino (jollibee). curahee!

personally i'd stick to the quirino avenue route (going through las piñas and onto zapote) since its a major road, more safer in a sense when compared to a side road at night.
i live in pque and ride this route/area a lot (day & nite) and my "caution area" would be that stretch of quirino avenue that runs from kabihasnan road (7-11) until the parañaque/las piñas boundary (iglesia ni kristo), about 1km... too dark for comfort and well known criminal's row. the rest i've never had a problem with, except for those nasty potholes in pulang lupa that is.
sorry to hear about your friend's predicament, maxbuwaya... chances are his was a case of bad luck/wrong place-wrong time. us locals consider las piñas to be generally safer than parañaque.

I've lived in Las Pinas for several years before I have decided to stay in our proviince. I was a witness to the development of the place. It used to be a very peaceful area even assuming that pushers and users abound the place, it was generally quiet...We will have to be careful from now on not only in Las Pinas but anywhere because this can happen...the culprits maybe youngsters who need money for their vices...but there used to be barangay patrols in Las Pinas...infront of Bamboo Organ po ako dati...

I lived in Gatchalian Subd for almost 19 years now but never have a problem. I were once a member of the Sunday Bikers of Las Pinas based in front of Bamboo Organ (hi Jessie), i always ride in this area during morning.afternoon, evening but never have a problem. its an isolated case -(maybe if you ride a bike like ibis mojo) hehehe j/k. even here in dubai meron magnanakaw - my colleague bike giant/yukon was stolen in his Satwa Flat though the bike was securely chained & padlock beside the steel ladder outside his door. (what i mean is kahit saan merong ahas).
