or if you are quite chicken ( like me) of flyovers, try going via McKinley thru Forbes Park. You have to cross EDSA to get to Ayala Ave.

rosario > C5 > j. Vargas > san mig ave > shaw blvd > crossing > edsa > guadalupe > rockwell > kalayaan > then makati na yan...... (not so busy road and have lots of side walks)
another route: rosario > C5 > Kalayaan > Guadalupe > Rockwell > Makati (this route are main roads, so expect crazy motorist and pollution)
in edsa you can stay in sidewalk goin down to guadalupe............it is safe if you have helmet.

rosario > meralco > ortigas center, pass by megamall and shagri-la going to shaw blvd > branangka dr., boni ave. > makati-mandaluyong bridge > makati ave. this route may be a bit long compared to what other fellow mtbikers have suggested, however, i consider this as the safest amongst all.
better yet, bike with me on saturday after the licao-helipad ride and i'll show you, since i live in mandaluyong area.

Easiest yes. And from my experience, if you want slow vehicles, bike during rush hour going to Makati hehe the traffic is as slow as a filled up Cargo truck. Just stay as close as you can near the gutter. Private vehicles tend to avoid it coz FX Drivers just immediately pull over, or signals too late. If I don't take this route: Rosario > C5 > The Fort > Buendia Flyover I do take : Rosario > C5 > Kalayaan Ave > Buendia Flyover, since lately when I bike in The Fort traffic enforcers there asked me to take another route instead of the main road. Its just not that safe taking the Buendia Flyover at night due to poor lighting, they only have reflectors on the side, so I take the Mandaluyong - Shaw route the Lui-G suggested here, which was personally suggested also by Anthrax who is also from Mandaluyong.

are bikes allowed in the flyover from jollibee (the fort) to buendia? i mean yeah, i did use it twice but there was a sign a couple of weeks back that says "bikes are not allowed in the ramp" so i am quite hesitant to use it. but for my case, i choose Rosario -> C5 -> Kalayaan -> Buendia flyover. my only problem with that route is when i enter the area where the Guadalupe jeeps pass. as for easiest, yeah i'd take the rosario > meralco > ortigas center, pass by megamall and shagri-la going to shaw blvd > branangka dr., boni ave. > makati-mandaluyong bridge > because you only climb only 3 times and they are not very long climbs. okay okay the meralco climb is about half a kilometer although you can take the julia vargas route, it's less steep (i think)

Remember! A good exercise would be sprinting up a flyover! Give it a month of everyday sprints on climbs, you will notice gains in strength. Not only that, you will be spending less time on the flyover- if this is your issue.
IMHO, Rizza gave the easiest route.
