greetings,
what is your opinion with this? anti u.s./america, but made in america....!!!!!
our kababayan actibista shouting anti america/death to america , but as we can see them on t.v. or news journal, wearing an american made clothes/shoes and eating american foods, watching movies made in america, using american made accesories!
ano ba to?
sana they used our national barong/barot saya clothes in order to show the real filipinos fighting for anti american imperialist--things!
any comments?

i'd remember way back when i was in my 1st yr. college in u.e.,recto, manila. this group of lfs ( league of the filipinos students) invited as the freshmen to joined the rally in mendiola, they told us about the american imperialism. they hated the americans lahat na siguro, nasabi about the negative side of american imperialism.........then this group of LFS students, siguro starving for the past 4hrs of talking, shouting and waving the red flag of their beloved symbols, eating inside the mcdonald resto! is it funny they ate made in america? i'd also remember they are also wearing branded shirt, nike, and jansport backpack also made in america! hehehehe......  ;D  |

will actually, american brands are american brands with the used of the u.s. patented trademark, they actually import their fabrics/materials to other countries just to maintain their low cost labor, then ship back to u.s. soil for tags! but what about eating inside mcdo- ? do they made in china, malaysia, taiwan.  ? are you familiar with camelbak hydration backpack, it was made here in project 6, quezon city near sanville village.......will using american patent is most common filipino using even before! |

I think these activists just hate american imperialsim and their foreign policy. Not americans or US products. I think that's the essence of their protest. If the US just exported their goods and left the whole world alone and did not meddle into any other country's national policies then i dont think there would be protests at all.

Well my only comfort is knowing that we only have less than a year and a half to deal with incompetent leadership. Hopefully the next US president and "her" administration will improve America's damaged stature in the world. |

It also makes we wonder how come if the Americans are involved they easily act with rallies and flag burning with their slogan down with Imperialism, Yankees go home!( Subic Rape Case) How come they dont react when the lespu arrested Chinese, Taiwanese nationals operating Shabu Laboratory here in the Phliippines, we all know our drug problems here is very rampant, how come they dont rally infront of the Chinese Embassy?
