I got into it for a while around 4 years ago. Played a couple of games, got my AEG, etc. Even started importing some parts from Hong Kong. But I got out of it after a year or so, and sold off all my stuff.
There seem to be a fair number of "characters" in the airsoft community. Enough that I'd rather not be associated with the sport.

Ey sir I was into airsoft wargames before but that was year 2001, I was inspired by one of my friend using a M16 M4 electric gun airsoft rifle, its a bit pricey so I end up using a CO2 air rifles. What type of gun are you using?

im still in airsoft right now, but i started way back 1995 to 97 using my TM AEG, but majorities of airsofters of that year used Co2. Now? most of us used Electric Guns.

wargame fanatic here, but i've been playing with the gas type one before, so im basically newbie only with the new equipments i just bought a dragunov semi suto sniper rifle and planning on replacing all the internals with FTK(full tuneup kit), and wishing it would hit 550 -650 fps ;D, bought this gun coz i was designated to be the sniper of my team, sniper means less movement but you have to be very patient in acquiring your target heres a pic of my new gun

what got you into playing this game? what's in it? once i made a mistake of entering the "war zone" at UP (on my mtb) on my way home from watching the haro race...nice peeps too..they immediately stopped and resumed only after i cleared the area...except for one guy.. i think somebody sniped me for interrupting their game but missed. kung nakita ko lang kahit silhouette nya..palagay ko makikilala ko.

None of them stopped. well, i like the equipment, i like their outfits, even the darth vader face masks. But i don't think i'd be sucked into that kind of hobby. But i myt buy a cheap gun to kill rats and cockroaches though.

not neccesarily stock springs, usually m100 max. most cqb limits are 350max because of the close encounters(hence cqb) where firefights are done, from twenty feet to right around the corner.
medyo masakit makatikim ng field guns ng point blank diba, sa field ok lang kasi sobrang liit ng chance na pointblank hit ka while in cqb, mas malaki ang closerange

airsoft is an expensive hobby, but MTBiking turned out more epensive (for me anyway). The amount of money i spent on MTB for the past few months is almost a third of what I spent 6 years playing airsoft regularly... whew... will not quit on either tho, papalit-palit lang

expensive! yes! ,but u dont have to spend much to enjoy it, those who upgrade their guns to the max will only realize that their guns are useless playing cqb, use stock guns, this way u save on upgrade and wont hurt anybody, regarding ZOMBiEs(player who dont admit that they have been hit), they wont admit it even if you hit them with modified guns anyway , being a sniper is a different story, u have to modify ur guns for the extra range, but u have to consider not firing on your opponent at close range because it will really hurt
