I saw a gadget being sold in SM shop where you plug it into the electrical outlet and the whole electrical system acts as a conductor to emit frequencies that affect the nervous systems of cockroaches and rodents (daw).
It's being sold at P1150.
When I asked an electrical supplier of mine, I was told to try the Baygon product instead (probably available in supermarts). It's cheaper daw.
Advice anybody? Something short of buying myself an air rifle and start shooting those buggers in sight!

hmmm....we're using sound to shoo away mosquitoes. not sure if it works with roaches and mice there's a commercially effective way to kill roaches (other than the trusty slippers). there's this syringe packed gel, available in Ace hardware. very effective according to my officemates. for mice....we use fly paper at home, if i capture one, i burn the bugger to crisp. for rats, the big ones.....no idea.....i was able to kill one with a bamboo handle though

its called blattanex by bayer...very effective indeed and very expensive too...P219.75 at ace for only 5 grams..yes 5 grams! i use it to kill those tiny roaches that s very common here in our office. i gave up on baygon paste to kill those mice...last night i setup a trap (1st time)..forgot the name but its a sticky brownish glue (looks like shite) in a plastic can...P109.00(?) per can...spread it on a 5"x 4" cardboard..placed a small piece of cheese at the center...voila! six of 'em on one single cardboard within 2 hours! lucky we dont have problems with rats though...also available at ace hardware...medyo tricky nga lang i-apply but way less expensive than kowan or dr. ekek ready to use sticky traps.

you know, i hate roaches to the fullest!!! though they're dead, if i see them, i scream like hell... if your house is really infested, try the syringe. it is effective.
After, try to keep your house clean. no traces of crumbs... i searched the internet what they like. they like paper. roaches eat almost anything. dead skin, crumbs, dandruff, name it, they 'll eat it! throw away unused things. carton, papers, try to keep your bathroom dry. if you spill something yummy on the kitchen floor, wipe it agad then follow it by wiping strong bleach so they wont smell food. don't eat at the living room or bedroom. one drop of water can make roaches live upto 7 days.
Pandan leaves are strong roach repellant. try to seal cracks with cements.

@brionne, you mean Baygon? they have this electronic mosquito coil. you put in a green mat on a heating metal plate. leave for 8 hours, he he he.
but i like the zappy type where the bugs get fried with electricity, he he he. i think imarflex has one (just saw it on a catalog).

Me too, that syringe type works effectively in our house, in my case, I put either a bread or fish bone and put 4 drops on side of the food. Airsoft is a bit messy killing those roaches, but its fun for me.
