Hi, has anyone tried purchasing stuff in ebay using paypal? Yup, I've been using paypal for my ebay purchases for years now. But I don't think paypal still allows the use of non-US "issued" credit cards for NEW accounts nowadays. Just check with their website.

brad, why don't you try using a debit card? it's similar to a credit card but you deposit money prior to purchase. similar to an BPI's EPS in the sense that if you don't have enough funds on your account, you won't be allowed to purchase.
so even if your number got stolen, they won't be able to charge anything because you don't have anything in the account.

sup, actually the number that will be issued on your debit card is a 16 digit number similar to a credit card. the other party won't even know if it's a credit or debit card. the bank you have here will be the one to arrange the payment. just be sure that you'll have funds prior to purchase. he he he, i'm from the IT industry, and security wise....i'm also not comfortable using my credit card for online transactions. although it's been foolproof lately

thanks anthrax, now i know what you mean.
but paypal is asking for the last 3 digits of the numbers at the back of the card, maybe these numbers are to verify that it is a credit card. oh well, i'm still thinking about it. i think i'll just wait for my new credit card and use it solely for purchasing stuff at ebay. ;D
