My son turned 5 y.o. last Tues., Oct. 16 and I asked Sir Vic (vlm414) to bake Emman a cake:






you can judge the presentation for yourself, as for the taste, this is homemade with a big capital H! what i liked about it even more is that it's got the right sweetness so you can have another serving less the guilt. My son loved it.

There's something about having a birthday cake that you can buy either from Red Ribbon and Goldilocks and there's also this birthday cake that was homemade and you knew exactly who made it. that novelty appealed very much to me. It all paid off

If you ever want to ask a rider to bake a cake, come to Sagada. Chef Aklay, once French, now Sagadan, will ride just about anywhere.. and was once the head pastry chef in the kitchen of the Sultan of Brunei. Let me tell you, he will throw together one serious cake!

This was our first serious attempt at a birthday cake. Nothing better than a happy customer, makes you feel you're doing something right!

BTW, I also had a lot of help. That's Paul doing the icing on Emman's cake.
