Help! My father is currently being deported by Qatar because of "practice of religion". The CID (Central Intelligence Department) has given my family in Qatar two weeks to leave the country. That two weeks ends on the 9th of August.
Unfortunately, my father have a big loan on a bank in Qatar, used to pay other debts and to give us a fresh start. It was 6 months ago, and until now, we're paying for it. Unexpected things happen, and that's what just happened. Upon learning the imminent departure from the country, the bank issued a travel ban for my father at the immigration... which means he can't leave the country. Every option was given, but the bank manager won't allow other options, all he wants is for my father pay the debt before leaving the country.
In that case, if my father wasn't able to leave the country on or before the 9th of August, CID would pick him up and detain him, which would mean greater suffering for us.
How did the bank have the power to issue a travel ban? I don't know... that's Qatar, different laws.
How much does my father owe? Around $32,000
Why ask help just now? Because the bank says that the insurance could cover the debt, but just yesterday, the insurance advised the bank and my father that they won't cover the debt... which leaves us to no choice but pay.
My father has already been terminated from work since the first day of the notice. My mother is already unemployed because she can no longer work due to an illness. My sister is the only one left working. And i'm still a student.
Please, we need your help. Opo, pakapalan na ng mukha. But we are already maximizing our resources and asking help from each and everyone we could. I see that posting in this forum is a long shot, but i don't care, at times like this, i'd do anything rational to help my family in Qatar.
Most of you don't know me, in fact, only a few people in this forum saw me. But if you are kind enough, please provide some financial help for us. Any amount will do. But please be informed, paying you will take a long time, but nevertheless, we'd pay.
