Another nice film with John Lloyd and Bea, this time with Sam Milby.
This one hits home for those who've ever fallen for their friend, and we're torn between fighting for their love, or keeping the friendship. As the tagline in the trailer goes . . .
"If you fall for your bestfriend Will you risk losing the friendship for the love? Or risk losing the love for the friendship?"
Once again, good chemistry between John Lloyd (Manuel/Palits) and Bea (Marian/Bru).
As with One More Chance, the overall story is very formula, but it is in the little scenes and dialogues that make it a memorable and fun movie to watch. It's an interesting mix of drama and comedy, of hurt and laughter.
It's also intersting to note that there is no real antagonist in the movie. While Sam Milby (Lance) maybe the other guy, there are no negative emotions towards each other. Just people trying to get on their lives as best they can.
The best line in the movie for me would probably be
Marian: You're a coward. Not just insecure, but also a coward. Manuel: Ok ok, I'm a coward Marian: Talaga, coz if you love me you would have fought for me! Manuel: Why, if I had told you I love you then would you have said I love you too? Marian: Yes!
