hi guys... im planning on building a single speed rig (since i want a lighter bike). frame suggestion is welcome. please post your single speed frame here.

you can use almost any hardtail frame for singlespeed, using a chain tensioner. no need to buy a singlespeed specific frame. pick the lightest frame within your budget and build it up.

yep...king is right, any hartail with tensioners could do the job but if you want a cleaner look then ss specific may be the way to go.

i went to sabak the other day and saw the surly 1x1 it was neat! but costly.... ;D

Reliable frame and a favorite among SSers the price is indeed a bit on the high, I always suggest a good bike fit above anything else more importantly for a SS since you only have one gear to vary your speed and ride habit on.

i went to sabak the other day and saw the surly 1x1 it was neat! but costly.... ;D any frame would do, but i like the looks(sexy tubings) and geometry of surly. go for surly hehe... ;D ;D ;D

Yup even on standard frames you could get away from tensioners. Craftily being held together by a couple of ball bearings.

here is the second single speeder in my stable again running tensionerless though a bit too much torque (low gear) for flat roads.
