Before you think of anything else, It's the ride we are talking about here.
The ever so delayed vacation of mine that was the talk of the shout box and me being branded a star who does some press release by a lady working in a TV company(Media)
So many reasons, so many events, twist of fate and finally Im home.
Flight was friday morning and was up all night tossing and turning after the so many goodbyes to the beautiful people of Dubai
I managed a couple of hours sleep before going the the airport enroute to Phils. One friend called and said that she was hoping I lose my passport again, Evil lady!!
Landed at the airport at 1:00 am and after the customary chit chat in the house and in the bedroom the whole time, received an sms from Yukon coz one lady I smsEd doesnt want to believe Im home.(seeing is believing) A call to Yukon and off we go to the same LBS hopping, but managed to see only Extreme and Jan with Raven and legendary Bans. My whole first day was consumed with bikes thingies. Picking up bike, buying lubes, installing some parts for pinky and all the time in contact with the ever so gracious Yukon. Again, was so excited the tossing and turning happened again this time it's with my wife First time I made love to my wife and didnt fall asleep. That's how excited I was.
5 hours sleep in 72 hours coming from a different time zone.
It was fun riding in the countryside with lots of GREEN trees around you and the chance to get DIRTY with the mud everywhere and get WET with all those river crossings.
Met with Yukon my gracious host and saw an array of Idols from the PinoyMTBiker arsenal, Babyface and tall Tofi, Matinee idol looking GBB, Ssuper Ssweet couple, Super Sstrong Matt and MrsM, The Man of Steel Lamok who rides as if he was riding at the folk arts grounds, Nhan whose got eyes for nice pics, Sockman who, I swear will light up a room with his chinky eyes mile wide smile. The team South Discovery with Uber cool DJ Ice, Bandido and so many to mention I will be able to fill the whole page if I mention all, but I wont forget Suave and Debonair Kulot Salot. The hair tells it all. And Lloyd the real XC guy.
Theres just so many to mention so please forgive me.
To sum it all up I WAS Hans Rey in the deep ruts, Thomas Frishckineckt in the mud and water, Roland Green in the singletracks and Brian Lopes in the trails. Was even part of Discovery/USPS on the takusa ride home. Thanks guys for bringing me back into cycling. Now Im a wannabee again and that's what counts most.
