Sayang, I dont have a pic of the "shark bite" caused by the big ring getting acquainted with my leg, but I'm sure there will be other opportunities....

The fresher, the better ... yuck! Sayang, I dont have a pic of the "shark bite" caused by the big ring getting acquainted with my leg, but I'm sure there will be other opportunities.... I have one of those shark bites, mine looks like a long "kalmot" from a cat. And yeah, there will always be plenty of opportunities but I hope they come far between!

ouch that hurts brad.... don't want to be a member of the brotherhood ;D Nhan, I'm sorry to say but every MTBiker eventually becomes a member ... there is no getting away from it. Statistically, it's a given with our sport. Happines is doubled and pain is reduced when shared ... keep them coming!!!

This is the worst biking accident I had and it did not even happen in the trails. Just got back from a retreat in Tagaytay (where I brought my bike and rode up to Palace in the Sky). It was late Sunday afternoon at around 4pm and I decided to squeeze an hour of spinning in UP just to end the weekend. On the way to UP, I made a shortcut though the city hall and was zipping through the parking lot. I was about to jump a curb when all of a sudden I catch a nylon rope was tied across the curb. I didn't see it since it was already getting dark and it was positioned at eye level. I smacked into it at around 20-25km/hr. The rope dragged itself around my neck up to my face and did a "rope burn" across my cheeks and lips, and the force flipped me. The rope tore a 2" chunk off my helmet. Worst thing about it? The guard approaches me and said I was the third person to get caught with that nylon rope ... and he did not even think of removing it for safety. Some people are either so callous or stupid. Here is the FRESH pic just after I got home ... UGGGHH! Thank God for Tegaderm and the wounds healed well enough without any keloids.
