Just want to share our vacation photos!
First, I want to thank Oilman for pointing us to the right direction and special thanks goes to Ariel Bajade and the rest of Jagna riders. You made our stay in Bohol a very memorable one. Despite the heavy rain, we really had a great time riding. It's a shame, we have to cut the ride short coz of safety concerns (a rider actually crashed on our way home), but still it's a good one indeed. It's not our usual kind of trail but it's a different experience for us. A humbling experience to be more specific.
So here we go.....
After arriving from Hong Kong, we decided to wait at PAL Terminal 2 for our 8am flight to Tagbilaran....
Recharging for the coming busy day....
Welcome to Tagbilaran....
Our bikes being unloaded in the background...
We settled in BOHOL DIVERS RESORT in Panglao Island.
BOHOL Island Tour....
Oo nga pala, our friend Sixto Bereber who came from Manila via Cebu has joined us just right before our Bohol City Tour. We picked him up along the way at McDonalds in Tagbilaran, load his bike into the van and joined us on the tour. A day earlier, he took the fast craft from Cebu to Tubigon at the northern part of Bohol, then pedalled all the way to Tagbilaran City. So, he basically had the sightseeing ahead of us.
Lobok River Cruise.... Fine dining at the tune of "The Love Boat"
At the source, upstream....
Tarsier watching....
Bee and family at Chocolate Hills....
Kaloy Q, Tita Boie and the Bennetts....
Part of our City Tour is the Man-Made Forest on the way to Chocolate Hills and the Baclayon Church. We're not able to go to the Blood Compact Site coz it's getting dark. Dinner time, we explored the shoreline of Alona Beach for a nice place to eat. Then we spent the rest of the night drinking, hehehe....
The Ride....
Kaloy Q testing my rig at Bohol Divers Beach Resort....
During the 2-hour bus ride from Tagbilaran to Jagna.... Walang magawa....
Rest stop shot with the bunch of strong Jagna riders...
Wet ride....
Kinahugan Hidden Falls.... This is where the rain stranded us for more than an hour....
One big happy family late lunch....
Back at Bohol Divers Resort....
DUMAGUETE City
Our welcome party was already there when we arrived at Dumaguete Pier. After loading our luggages and bikes at the trailer, we're on our way to EL DORADO BEACH RESORT in Dauin, about 15km away from city proper. Passing thru Valencia, it reminds me of my first climb to Mt. Talinis in 1990. We reached El Dorado after 25 minutes, then we settled in.
The Ride.
Not much action shots, only few photos....
Resting at Malatapay, the gateway to Apo Island....
Riding a tricycle in Dumaguete....
We even tried Ocean Kayaking at Bahura Resort....
We were joined by another friend, Yay Ortega, at lunch time in Bahura Resort. The whole day was spent at the resort swimming, eating and drinking. We had our dinner at a mexican theme restaurant @ the Boulevard.
CEBU City
The Ride
Our guide stood us up so we decide to ride on our own. We planned to ride up to Marco Polo Hotel to TOPS via Kalunasan in Guadalupe but we miss the turn going to the hotel. We ended up riding mostly uphill along mango plantations (good thing we missed the turn), then we retraced our route. Here's some pics...
I'm trying to figure out why suddenly my rear brake lost it's power....
Cold beer, a refreshing reward after riding... this is the point where my wife lost my camera while shopping....
That's all folks! Thanks for viewing!!!
