my Deore before used to squeek after landings, normally i would just tighten the bolts. anyway, i'm currently using FSA V-drive, it's an old FSA crankset that's not ISIS. it's compatible with Shimano's octalink. if you decide to switch to octalink, you'll change your whole crankset. if you want to keep your square taper...hmm.....i'm not sure if it's okay but, put a thin grease on your bb spindle before installing the crank arms. then use the correct torque to tighten. The most common BB used in trials are: 1. Square 2. ISIS
For me the best is Square since the bearings are bigger than ISIS or OCTALINK. Are you sure its not the pedals or the BB are loose?
Ryan Leech uses XTR (outboard).
