Nice geometry on that frame. I love the +BB height and the fork too. His LX v-brakes gave me a great idea hehe
Is he going to compete with that bike in TLBF? I guess he'll have to slap on a casette and a RD to compete.
Would you know if the brand is Boondocks or is he being sponsored by boondocks bikes?

yup!he's goin to compete in TLBF...i think the frame is BOONDOCKS...i haven't seen any stickers on it aside from BOONDOCKS...the fork is MOSSO...i don't think he's gonna slap a cassette and RD on it...most TRIALS here don't use complete cassette...

Isn't it the competition is UCI sanctioned? UCI regulation 7.4.0.7: Normal commercially available 26'' wheel mountain bikes with a minimum of working 6 gears of different size shall be permitted.
and regulation 7.4.0.8: Only one rock-ring chain guard shall be authorized on the transmission side. No additional, lower chain guard may be fitted.
I wish I could see him compete, but I cant go sayang, its my daughter's first bday. Are these frames commercially available in the south?

Baka naman dehins UCI- or BIU-sanctioned. I think in many sports and competitions here (not just trials or bike-related), it is difficult to follow the international rules due to the limited availability of competitors. In this case baka a handful lang ang maka-join if organizers insist on UCI rules. I personally have never seen a trials bike here, even though there are probably some.

I heard it was UCI sanctioned, I may be wrong. It is asean finals after all.
UCI rules conflict with BIU in one case in terms of allowing the land the bike in bashplates, the latter I believe allows while the first considers it a dab. The rules aren't that strict. I strongly believe it is the only way to do competitions otherwise we would not be promoting world class talents(in trials).
@cube: If you want to see how trials is done I can show you ... some videos hehe
Hey guys is it me or his gear ratio is almost 2:1? I may be wrong but what gives?

well if you're gonna dedicate yourself to trials you must be prepared for everything ;D like no saddles and all rigid to brittle some bones hehehe kidding.
Boondocks are one of me personal faves when it comes to trials specific frames.

joseph oncada is 1 of the pioneers of trials here in the phil. he started way back when i didnt know how to ride a bike, he can ace any trick u can imagine, his dh records are unbeatable, the best all around rider ive ever rode with, this guy keeps on comming with new tricks, and does it with a 99.5% precision.
wondering about his setup?, just watch wat he can do with that gearing setup....tatayo balahibo nyo

wow, I hope we get to see him do his thing. Does he film his riding greaseart? I am actually considering going SS and ridgid on my black plan as well (going dedicated trials) .... and inspired by Mr Oncada's bike, I went with parallel push vbrakes too. I really wish I could learn from you guys.
