Peeps,
Does anyone here had ridden this frame? Please share your comments ... both pros and cons. Production of the frame was stopped when the Glory series were introduced.
Thanks...

Thanks po... yup, they have been replaced by the Glory 8... Faith has also an 8" of buttery smooth travel (as they say) but I had not tried to ride them and even seen an actual frame. The review's at MTBR is very positive. I'm planning to buy one po kasi... rear suspension is a FOX DHX 4.0. I want to ask for comments from the peeps here in PinoyMTBiker that had actually tested or owned and had bombed down this frame. Again, thanks. Peeps, Keep you comments coming...

@ Coilerblue, Maybe, Giant wanted to focus and direct more their R&D and marketing strategy on the Glory platform that's why they put the Faith in MTB's history . Thanks po... i'll save some dough for this one. Had found 1 frame on sale here .

I heard the only con from them is they are quite heavy, but I think they're still lighter than the Glory.

Lloyd, I rode a Faith once. It's a really good frame. Suspension was very responsive but it doesn't pedal as good as the newer suspension systems. I am assuming you will be using it primarily for downhilling & freeriding & in that area it shines. Asx is right, though, it is quite heavy but not so much that its performance is affected on DH/FR. Aesthetically, I kind'a like the Faith over the Glory.

@ Apol, Thanks for the caution. I'm no pro... just turned to executive category from novice in Dh racing ;D (can't anymore compete in the novice cat since there's no more time to practice)... highest drop that I made was 12ft to tranny. I think the frame can handle my ride. coilerblue, Thanks man. But I think it can handle my type of ride... i'll think it over again though. @ Anshwa, Yap, I'm planning to use it for downhill racing and freeride. By the way, I had tried ridding a Glory but only on paved roads here in Shanghai... hadn't experienced bombing her down. To all, Thanks for all your response. Its very informative. faith no more.....
.... you want it all but you cant have it... yeah yeah.... from the song epic... hehehe
OT lang... the faith would fit you... the glory dh is too heavy and ridiculous to convert into an FR bike anyways.....heheheh
Yo Coiler... you gotta get ur ass riding out in the trail and stop reading that rubbish on the net and the magazines, mtbiking is an outdoor sport .... go practice...... that'll drive you crazy...
and stop listening to reviews from strangers..... the only positive way to know and determine if its fit for you is to actually try out the faith dh8.......
one cycling rule: the bike may be adjusted & customized to how you ride, but thats 30% the rest of the 70% is the rider adjusting to the bike.....

Buy the Faith... kung mura binebenta sa iyo.... as long as it doesn't have any hairline crack in any part of the frame... it's good!
now, as for the picture.... it might be a factory defect or maybe rider abuse issues....
i don't care.... my warranty nmn lalo n kung bago mo binili and sa authorized outlets/shops...
example: extension frames.... dami nabiyak.... karamihan napalitan dahil may warranty.... yung iba... kasi Tapos n warranty o kaya walang ng stock ng front triangle in taiwan kaya wala na.... dehins n napalitan... sayang....
GIANT faith will have many problems kapag:
1. dehins ginamit... Tinago lang sa Bahay! 2. sa subdivision lang ginamit... paikot-ikot... 3. sa Road lang ginamit, punta sa bikeshop, ikot ng moa.... ano yan.... Road Bike? ang bigat nmn!

Sir Uly, The frame is bnew... only priced @ 35k. I know this is a great buy. Rear suspension is Fox DH 4.0. I'll buy this frame . I'll bring the frame once i'll return home for a vacation. By the way, my current frame for DH racing and freeride (back in Cebu) is only a single generic frame (w/ original sealed bearing pivot)... paired w/ 5th element (8 " i2i) at the rear and Jr T in front. It even stood up my beating. I know that Faith will ;D. Thanks.

hey good news guys... hehehe..... i heard a rumor that if you plan to use a giant faith frame you better have a very plush plush buttery-smooth fork that will balance its rear play, and you need to have a very high-level of riding finese if you want the frame to outlive you. hehe Trans: di raw yan pang basagan at sagasa mode, DH yes but not too rough tho.(Ay parang chics you can slap em good, just not too rough kasi demanda kasunod nun!) hahahaha...... ** so thats why anshwa stuck to the banshee......hihihi.....now i know hahaha.... but thats ok na @ 35k? hell yeah! next year ka na mag glory pag bumaba na presyo at timbang.... .. good buy yan brad.

Sir Redneb,
I'll pair it w/ an 888 or a Boxxer infront... i'll just stick w/ my HT rig here in Shanghai... a DH rig is an overkill since this mega city is flat... this is based on my experience. I owned a short lived DH rig here... its a Sunday ... had sold it ;D.
Basta, i'll bring the Faith at home... yup, its a great buy @ 35k php for a spankin bnew frame.

Ok, if the hardware are ready and if i'm in Cebu then... i'll execute your suggestion. Thanks again. Ride Safe and Ride Hard...
