fattirei told the guy never go beyond 4 inches at least that's what i would personally prefer. ......... actually thats correct if ur on a hardtail the stand height increases as u increase fork travel.. and anything over 4-5" on a hardtail is useless.... u see if have too much travel up infront all the stress distribution will be focused on your top tube area.. thus making the front triangle area of the frame susceptible n more prone to fractures and breakage.... ...... vs having the correct stand height and only having optimal travel for the bike to distribute shock impacts evenly through out the bike .... Hehehehe... i hope i made sense, cuz i cant find my notes on stand height and frame geometry basics........ heheeh

@ brionne hehehehe.... no this is bad for you... your a family man hehehe and one of my oldest living friends.... bleh! hehehe
** again i am not advocating the use of weed for DH mtbiking, and i am also not denying the fact that ive been indulging for 2 1/2 decades already.... like i said, for every right you do there is a reward and for every wrong theres a consequence....
and i will not sell or market this thing, even if u cut off your finger/s in front of me i will not influence you or give you a 1st step towards something bad........
and no matter how much i explain this issue... just remember anything of too much is bad, its called abuse..... and that aint pwetty..... hehehe

jackass... ummm i cant answer that heheeh... ur gna have to send an email inquiry at zokey's website, they manufactured it, they might have an X-type 203mm prototype at R&D.... hehehe ... and what do u need 203mm travel for? u plan to do 50 footer gaps? or huck 40 footer drops? shoot 30 footer MX style step ups? ......? seriously... i find it silly for DH racers to equip 9-10 inches of front n rear travel... it just adds weight when 8" is enuf plus a lot of skilled riding would win world cups? and belive me that 8" of travel would seldomly be bottomed, cuz as u progress and enhace your riding skill you start to use less of the bike and more of skill... that when you enjoy cuz you get to do a lot of stuff @breakneck speeds in under 4 mins or so..... for froriders well its different.... Long travel froks n frames have their specific uses in this category of mtbiking..... the longer you got, the bigger you can go.......... FUN FACTS: ... DH racing = no one goes big air cuz when u crash u lose time, so 8" is enuf.. then they tune the suspension according to the course( so thats why it looks flawless n smooth on dvd!) duh. ... FR racing = The longer the better, cuz u can hit bigger stuff cuz the bike can take it, the fall back for super long travel - heavy bikes would be : if u crash you better be sure your bike flies the opposite direction as you are or you'll end up in a world of hurt!

bender, jackpot, 8 inch travel dh race bike and 8 inch travel fork can beat 9 and 10 monster travel dh bike, this is now the optimize travel, for the demand on any gnarly race course, still remember (when it was 5? RST HI 5, 6? DNM, stratos, 7? RS boxxer, manitou dorado), that is development. No i dont see in the near future, fork travel will go beyond 8 inches, 9- 12 inch travel froks, first of all the geometry will be affected and only josh bender buys the stuff, how yould you market that?and no more redbull rampage contest as of to date.

Dear Koya Bender, I will be having my 1st downhill ride tomorrow. Any suggestions before riding? Lovingly yours, Inday the wonder soap ohh... welcome to the world of FUN!!! wat trail will u hit tom inday??? ( dis makes me a koya too) ;D oki first things first... make sure you have the right protection gear... Full face helmets, elbow pads, knee and shin guards, gloves... at first be slow... try to feel and be comfortable with the speed and the gravitational pull.. dont get envy with the fast riders, you will also harvest ur own skill and experience. dont think to much of the gospels of the mtbiking magazines... experience is still the best teacher. just think of it as an aggressive XC ride that is all the way down. have ur bike set up.. it is better that someone will supervise you personally rather than following wat was writteb on the mtbiking gospels, they just give the general set up, it is you who tunes your bike base on how it feels to you.. ;D with the right bike and gear, you are good to go!!! dont forget to say grace before any DH run.. even redneb looks that way ( someone who looks like being ejected in hell, nice teeth plating thou)... he is our prayer leader.. he (GOD) is your co-pilot.. oh... lastly you will have the best kulitan after the ride.. if you hear that your rims seems to be slamming the rocks?? that normal.. hehehe ;D bender, rocketman as i remeber the last 12" fork was the super monster T, josh bender use it in NWD video..( the marzzochi truck gap drop) and he just crashess... as in kaaappppppppppplloooogggggg!!!! lolo wade simmons did it in a stock RM7 and stock monster T 7" of travel.... as in ssssmmmmmmmoooooootthhhhhh... parang marshmallow landing.... and did it several times pa... nawile ehh

Koya, I would like to ask if this Knee/Shin guard is good for dj/dh apps. O'neal revolver. Hinged knee pivot system conforms to every move with high impact injection molded plastic protection. 3 elastic and Velcro® straps keep this guard in place and bio foam padding throughout for comfort and protection Thank you.

@ extendead,
sir Mr Pak yu is a sponsor, he is not a member of this forum
text me! you could be my wingman,
i ask him to join us but he requires an interpreter knows little english. shongkoila. butchikik
have you tig welded your extension,
No difference if it is made in US assembled by chicano, or made in taichee
American and euro companies subcontracts their mtb product to asia not only in taiwan, where labor is cheap and technology is up to date
welding, carbon fibers you name it.
they have Quality control and use qualified parts.
first batch products are ususally made in U.S and when mass production comes, to cut cost they go to taichi/ asia.

@ef
yes It's proportional, In fact it can win a podium in the dh world cup.
It was rain soaked wet and muddy race couse, at grouse mountain british columbia, But Gary Houseman won it by a wide margin.
Later strip off the win and UCI awarded it to the 2nd placer.
they found traces of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) on his weewii.
He was suspended

@ coilerblue ..heheeh 1. what is the principle of a brake therapy? ................the principle of brake therapy floating disc brakes are to eliminate brake drag and lock-up when ur rear linkage is dribbling like crazy and tour cutting through tech sections where-in "snap-braking" (3 short consecutive hits on ur lever).. and its gna be tricky to exit out of an elbow rock garden ... snap braking is used to steer ur bike during these conditions.....
..................................dnt worry if u ride as fast as bans mendoza, joey and jay-R barba, eboy farr, or american style , the brake therapy thinggy will work well for you.... but if your still learning the ropes of DH id suggest... not yet to utilize this due to the added 2 lbs weight ....
2. can a guy with Acrophobia, Altophobia, Batophobia, Hypsiphobia or Hyposophobia. and Tachophobia fit to DH?
........................yes he is still fit for DH, he's gna forget all the other old phobias .. cuz once he crashes at breakneck speeds... well he's gna have a new phobia...... hehehehe
3.how to cope with a raging bull on the trail or dogs chasing you?...heheheh it happens...
..........................with the correct body armor one might just escape with a bruise, just dnt get trampled by the animal.....
.......................and then again... try not to hit anything at tagaytay... the brgy chairmen will hunt me ehehehehehehehehe........ lol ....
4. what is the best song of bob marley?
........... exodus and smoke ______________.... im sorry i cant say it here... i promised the admins ;D

@ rcg ......... yes the revolver gets 2 thumbs up..... when it comes to knee/shins as long as its got injectec molded padding outside and the knee cup is strapped very well( if its cumbersome and hard to move with its prolly not for you...)its all good! @ extendead... is it true that by removing the visor will make you faster?? that was the trick by the euros before.... ..........wanna know why euro riders dnt hav visors? hehehe.. most trails there are covered by dense forests, and its always cloudy on their side of the globe... they just remove it for better lighting thus enhancing vision.... why there is schradder valves and presta?? its like there is American valves and European valves??? somehow like NASA against CCCP... .......................Product standards.... and each product is a result of homegrown R&D... they developed presta valves cuz they were cutting weight on wheelsets... hehehe... is it true that American components and European components are all made in TAIWAN? ........... not all, there are still home-grown manufacturers, thats why there are still $3000+ frames in the market, most of the "other" brand name bike makers get it sub-con @ taiwan by volume pa! cuz import taxes are cheaper than paying blue-collar job to build it @$55/hr x 6hrs/day x Y(number of days to complete 1 frame) .... .... dnt worry i still have 5 months to get my M.D. management hehehe.... my brains are already half fried.... i can do this hehehehe.... @ rocketman wow..... very good, thats correct... heheeh... during product launch to 1st quarter all are produced in-house. (30 day sales/demand study, then 60 days to monitor profitability of demand)... after that its all sub-contracted elsewhere... hehehehe.... skarhed ......... Yes, cuz u just think ur slow cuz ur fkd up stoned, but when you reach the finish line the other pros ask you a lot of stuff on how d fk u shot that section like that cuz "you are lost in your mind" ... but too bad u cnt remember cuz u were stoned..... heheheeh .............Some say its makes humans slow, but i believe in what i know, it made me faster but in return it drove me crazy...... .......................... WHICH WOULD YOU CHOOSE? The ability to become a monster but go crazy later on in ur life? or Hold on to ur gravity dreams and just grow old with those thoughts?

Pasaway Racing is the evolution of the MTB-DH/STREET/FR in metromanila.
we also had sessions for wheeliedrops, bunnyhops and drops in many locations...
i also remembered that once you take a look or make sukat (measurements) on the drops and stairs you should make tira or else Babangungutin K! (NIGHTMARES!) and it's TRUE! so the next ride i'll make tira na! and make sure i will make tira everything so that i won't have nightmares! nyahahahahaha!
ok lang sumemplang sa drop during that time! oh well it hurts really! but the motivation by the gang heals it very fast! they'll support your attemps!
tira dito... tira dun! (leftovers here... leftovers there!)
until many riders saw and got influenced by the gang until........ POLITIKS (na syeeeeetttttt!) arounding... and i can't make kwento anymore.... huhuhu
well i still wished for a reunion...
DH Idol in baguio was one reunion of Pasaway Racing... and almost thats it... i hope next time again...

Dear Big Bad Badong,
Is it true that listening to April Boy's songs can be hazardous to one's health, especially when bombing down a nasty rocky section?
If so, should I stick to Pepe Smith and Hotdog instead?

Mr. Red,
Some Hi-end bike shops gives more attentioning to english-speaking clients rather than those with local dialects like me. I sometimes make tsamba on hitting few sentences when I have dictionary with me, but still, my bisaya accent makes it worst than my spokening english.
Question: What if I forgetting my dictionary and Starbucks english at home? May I go out or may I open sesame? Am shy kasi when I asking for "upuan" then the tindero would say "Ow, you mean saddles! (with accent)"
I have money to buy naman in my hankercheap but not in dollar eh.
