bros...
does a longer dh rig wheelbase (say 44") gives you a better and more stable ride? some rigs has 42" wheelbase.
also is 15" bb height too high for a DH rig?

dh rig geo is rider's preference bcoz every individual dh rider has its different kung fu or riding styles,
;Dbasically 2 types,
one is the plow rider, sagasa everything on his path. does not want to fly,
the other one is the flow rider, smooth lines, likes to jumps over obstacles.
below is my geo:
14 inch bottom bracket height, (with 165 cranks now, for clearance, close to the ground for berms, low center gravity)
45 inch wheel base, (stable on straights, 44.5 inch if course is techy, my frame is adjustable)
65 or 66 deg head angle, (slack, the fork is raked out).
tried that 15 bb height, "lula" na if steep na slope ng trail, your feeling is that your "on top of the bike"
try mo 14 bb, the feeling is your "inside the bike" or one with the bike" nice with the berms.

I prefer longer bikes. Definitely more stable on fast DH courses. Although quite slow in tight corners, once you get used to the handling your skills will ba able to compensate. ;D
