gt avalanche, an all around frame. had a da bomb sputnik and XLR8R before, they look good but are really lousy when you bring it to the trails.

what do you think is the best hardtail that can handle abuse from a 180lb freak? thanks! Hardtail. So many choices. If you don't mind the weight, Azonic Steelhead (chromoly) will work for you. Very durable. Available at Leo's soon to open store in Anonas
GT Avalanche or Ruckus. Tried and tested.
Da Bomb Molotov or accelerator.
24/7.

steelhead goes around 12k i think. whacha gonna use it for? XC or FR or Street? you'd have to consider the weight of the frame. sure it'd take some abuse, but if you're just gonna use it for some light trails, no need to go overboard. you can check out some one who uses that frame 1st before considering it. get the feel, see if it fits you. go visit us sometime at UP. look for ben. he can offer you some suggestions. BTW, i weighed around that area when i first started riding, i'm a cromo user/lover myself. ;D
180lbs aint that much brad!

yup! the one i'm using! da bomb grenade only goes for around 7.5k! but it has a short wheelbase even with a 5" fork. not pretty stable on DH. but enough for street and DJ.
