Can I use a rear shox w/ an i2i of 8.5" on the frame? I'll use my 5th element on the frame. May I know how much does the frame cost?
salamat...

8.5 is too long... the stock shock height is 6.5 but a 7.5 can be used... if u want to use an 8.5 shock, u will have to modify the linkage.

sayang brad baka maunahan ka... the Foes is really a sacrifice sale... it was built early this year lang for 220k, second hand prts pa yon! then it was replaced with brand new parts, fork, stem, hubs, etc... tapos selling it for 120K lang. never been ridden offroad, puro village lang. spent more time in powerbikes than at home. its still in powerbikes if u wanna look at it and test drive it. btw, i accept terms

8.5 is too long... the stock shock height is 6.5 but a 7.5 can be used... if u want to use an 8.5 shock, u will have to modify the linkage. You should not change the eye to eye lenght of the fork just like that as there are alot of issues that you should consider. First is that you will increase the bottom bracket height of your bike which is something that you would not like because it increases your center of gravity which is bad for cornering. Second is that you will be affecting your chainline. Third is that there are certain clearance issues as to whether the bottom bracket will hit the chainstay bar. Lastly it will steepen your head angle which is bad for downhill stability. Based on my personal experience, I have tried to replace my Swinger 6 way which only has 7.5 eye to eye and a 2 inch stroke with a slightly longer 7.875 eye to eye vanilla RC with 2.25 inch stroke. The objective of this is to balance the travel of my bike which currently has 6.7 inches at front and 6 inches at the back . Since my frame has a 3:1 leverage ratio, the subsequent effect was that it made my rear travel 6.75 inches which is almost the same as the front. This upgrade, although it's only a slight increase in eye to eye lenght, steepened by head angle by 1/2 a degree as well as increased my standover height. Although it is a bit plusher than my original setup, I felt that I cannot corner as aggressively and confidently as before. Also the bike felt slightly less stable in extremely steep chutes. This led me to swap back my swinger and sell the vanilla rc on ebay. Besided that the vanilla rc has no pedal platform which sucks in climbing

Peeps,
Had measured the maximum eye 2 eye for the ZSC Launch (for freeride/northshore)... measurement is 8.5". This means that the frame is designed to take the said rear suspension measurement. Pero I had noticed that the bottom bracket height of the said frame is a bit high.

it would be much better to put on an 8" or a 7.5" rear shox... putting on an 8.5 is somewhat sagad na sagad, means that .5" is the clearance for your frame and should not be occupied by the rear i2i. kung baga yun yung play and tap-out play ng frame. there are limits and conditions that when you put on a very mahabang rear shox it will distribute the tension to other areas of the frame. making it break apart hehehe 'coz the frames geometry is affected... that's y u see you bottom bracket lift up...
