tumaas na jeep fare but we get a special rate more than 6 years of riding tagaytay and having one drive (nonong) syempre special price... suki price hehe. it is as low as 100 per rider for us, pero with tip mejo inaabot rin kami ng 150 each sometimes. sarap rin to have someone pick u up sa laurel but if u do that kawawa naman yung mga local jeepney drivers like nonong... thats additional income for them... i mean think about it, you rip thru their land & territory like speed maniacs, sulit lang naman to pay a small amount di ba... at least when something happens to you, there would be locals willing to help you coz they know you dont take them for granted... we even do yearly gift-giving rides every christmas... giving gifts to the local children... seeing them smile makes the ride worth it... trust me... feel free to join us if this is your thing... xc - u can contact me thru 09206768000 / 09224722608 bongjumper - trails in tagaytay are fairly short if u ride it straight... peak 3 for example can take only 20 minutes or less coz it has only one gruelling climb in the middle. another trail peak 2 (ridge 2) is a longer singletrack trail... can take you anywhere between 45minutes to 1 hour depending on ur stamina in riding or pushing up climbs. peak 2 & 3 share the same bottom half, they intersect at one point. B10 trail naman has no climbs... it's straight downhill pero very technical, switchbacks, cliffs, rocky sections are very very abundant... but its fairly short also since it has no climbs. teddy's trail or pappy's trail has actually 2 trails, teddys right and teddys left. the left one is very very short and used to be a fast single track but it has been developed so now it is a mostly cemented trail, it is quite 'technical' because there are a lot of houses & people & animals along the trail. the teddys right naman is a long technical trail which has a lot of flat and uphill climbs, and the downhill sections are mostly made up of narow "chutes". which is quite fun but really exhausting for beginners. near the end of this trail is a long pedal ALONG the river, which is fun in summer but in rainy months the water is quite high. another 'former' trail is Villa Dionisia trail, which lilke teddy's left is now cemented also. it used to be a long and fast and wide fireroad trail. some parts are wide enough to fit 2 jeepneys. there are also a lot of houses and people so expect a lot of 'good morning' and 'hey joe' along the way. it has moderate climbs and exhaustion levels are low since there are a lot of sari-sari stores along the way. wait ang haba na pala nito... parang article na sa siklista next time naman yung iba other famous trails not mentioned are talisay, holy trail. lester's trail and of course secret trails. different groups have secret trails of their own. old skool riders who have ridden tagaytay for quite some time have 'discovered' other trails. our group has one but it is in the nasugbu area already but near tagaytay. havent ridden there for years though. hope its still alive. we spent months digging up and fixing berms and building wooden jumps a pic can be seen in my friendster paolo - tagaytay rides kami ngayon eh since most of us are alabang based... maybe one weekend we can visit the north... ride with us!

ok ok. sory i wasnt reading the thread the past week. we were able to push thru last sunday. blisters group went down peak 3. we went down holy. i apologize for not texting the other people who replied with numbers on this thread i'll try to do better next time. how does october 1 or oct 8 sound to you guys? holy trail has lots of plant on the third climb. really lots of plants. unlike before. ruts are still big at the start. i sugest ride holy again so it becomes more and more clear on the climb area. friendly warning: if im with you and i get lost. please be patient. its hard to push a steel bike. true story. last sunday i got lost again. on the way pushing back i see one of us going down the same way. funny thing was its the 2nd time we back track on that trail. then wehn we reach the fork where we made a wrong turn. we decide to continue pushing up. i see tire tracks that arent ours and then realize that we pushed more than we should have. all the pushing made us dizzy and really weak. on the way on the right trail going to the 1st climb. i crashed the most crashes i ever taken in tagaytay. 2 of our companions wated for us for 2 hours. good thing we were all old friends. ;D is there a thread for dh anecdotes?

dami pala gusto sumama... sorry wasnt able to read this thread too...
sorry lui we had to ditch the second ride... it was too hot... when we finished it was right before lunchtime and it was really really hot... we went to yellow cab to eat and decided not to go for a second ride since it was 1pm and it was still hot. peak 3 was sick... the rains for the past few weeks made the trail gnarlier. had a few close calls myself.... but my semplang came when I stopped because a man w/ a horse had to pass... so in my respect I stopped till he passed me... when I got back in my bike, first pedal then my rear tire fell into a rut... hahaha natawa yung matanda sa akin... imagine a huge guy lying on his back in the talahibs
lets schedule another ride... in two weeks we might ride again pero di pa sure since 3 in our group is in siargao competing in the quicksilver intl surf comp. maybe when they get back we can all ride again!
text text na lang brad! next ride ill bring the whole team para masaya! lets ride B10 or peak 2
