if its wet, low pressure man, this will grip the surface dont worry to get pinch flat, dh tires have hard casings
high pressure on cement and asphalt brad.
lower pressure in the rear than the front on general trail or dh racing.

you will get a pinch flat/snake bite DH tires or not if your tire pressure is too low. it just happened to me and i dented my 729 too.
i think tire perssure is very personal... depends on your weight, the trail, the rim, the tire, the way u ride. but in general i would go w/ rocketman's suggestions.
i myself run a low pressure kc i like the way it feels (adds an extra inch of travel-he3). but this one time i dnt ride for a month or more and my tires were a little soft... was lazy to pump it up and the guys started riding na. i went and rode it agressively over this trail anyways, full of rocks.... yon i got 2 large slit and a dent on my new rim. augh!
but in general it's a balance. u wanna have traction in wet so u want low tire pressure but u don't wanna have a flat tire, plus more rolling resistance w/ soft tires too. for me since i dont race at all, i go as soft as possible w/o running myself into a flat.

Im Mr. Low Tire Pressure dude! Pro balistad kmi ni rocketman. I run the front tire with lower pressure than the rear. Dont really have a tire pressure gauge so dont know the exact pressure. But the norm for DH according to a magazine I read is 17psi front 20psi rear.
I set up my front tire just like peach... at the lowest pressure possible without risking a pinch flat. Sa rear basta medyo malambot lang konti.
For muddy race conditions, balistad din set up ko... I run higher tire pressure. Probably slightly higher than normal tire set up.
I was talking to Ado just last Saturday about tire pressure. He told me that he talked to the Japanese mechanic when we were at the Asian MTB Championships in Palawan. They use heavy pressure daw around 1.75bar or 28psi and just let the suspension absorb the bumps. The race track condition that time was really wet and muddy and they are using maxxis wetscream tires. I guess you know coz you were also there.
Get a tire gauge...

maxxis tires wet scream the best available wet/mud tires available here
maxxis tires are cheap P350 each minions and high rollers are the best for dh,
low pressure ako pag wet condition, para may grip sa surface, malapad yung gulong (kala mo flat), also i ride on the ruts ("kanal" where the water flows down) of the trail, madulas kasi pag sa ibabaw ka
si eboy farr high pressure set up, front and rear maybe from his mx experience, si james sardea din ata.

Set up at last baguio camp john hay dh race was low pressure for both front and rear i have pinch joey barba's tire (IRC kujo 2.35) if you sit on his bike lumalapad yung tires. I did the same on my dh bike.
pro tip from coach arjuna low tire pressure for wet dh race course, with slippery roots (pine tree and rocks.
