Trials Beginner's CompWe are working out a new competition designed to encourage riders into the sport. I have my mind set on May to allow the guys to hone up some skills. Beginner level requires only the basics (trackstand, pivot, rocking, hopping and rollup). Pwede sagasaan ang course kumbaga. Obstacles will be limited to 8" on round stuff and 1 foot on pallets, its designed to challenge beginners. Its just for kicks, dehins pa kina-carrer kumbaga. Anyway I hope to get some audience and suggestions as well from you guys. We might have an open division too and or a demo. Location is not set we might do it in Batasan, Makati or where ever we get a location and free pallet racks. We welcome suggestions, comments here and at pinoytrials.the-talk.net as well, feel free to join there, pwede tagalog, bisaya at off topic hehe. I have a plan to hold a much bigger comp later on that will include trials and street as well.

Thanks for the offers Inoy & Psyblade. We will definitely have those locations in mind. Maybe for a demo or something.
In the meantime we will have a practice comp soon probably in Makati. I'm hoping to get a location maybe infront of sir Goyo's bike shop (PARINIG) hehe or infront of Norma in Cartimar. Anyway bahala na.
Also there's pressure on me to have the big event on December since Davao trials guys are coming to town also which will be a blast.

Thanks @goyo lets talk about it after TLBF? I think the big event I have in mind will need your help hehe. Since there will be more participants geared to promote trials. Although the beginner comp can work out. I was thinking of 4 events like: 1. Beginners category 2. Open category (1 and 2 will only have a few participants) 3. Dual stunt event ( heres a sample of a course - made by Jeff Lenosky) <--heres where its at, streeters will be encouraged to take up trials by riding trialsy stuff. DONE!! How many sections do you want done? I'll design for you if you'd like. @goyo we will do it the same way Davao Trials did it. The sections will be based on votes by participants. Left and Right friendly. Medium challenge, High fun factor. I want this to be a feel good comp and an introduction to a competition environment. Its geared more towards having exposure for the discipline. I am going in line with NATS more than UCI as preparation for UCI rules again since its a feel good comp. |
