Hey guys, I'm back, after five days of staying at the hospita, here I am again logging on. I was diagnosed of pneumonia first and the docs treated it immediately, got a bunch of chest x-rays which kinda irritated me cause of the unknown radiation striking my chest for five times. And still I had this fever which the docs on the out patient department never knew what the cause was, they even got frustrated, so I got up to another doctor and he was able to tell what the cause of my fever was and it was the pleural effusion or the fluid inside my right lung. I was admitted at April 1 around 2 pm. And the docs told me that they would put a tube in my right lung and drain the fluid out for a day or two. I was anxious to know how the procedure would be. So the big day come and I was delivered at the OR around saturday 12 noon, and got "tubed", I was awake the whole time because the docs would give me instructions like to breathe deeply or cough and I saw the tube were the fluid was and man it was disgusting . After two days having a tube hanging on my side, it was simply removed as in pulled out without any anesthetic. So the "ordeal" was finished and I got out at april 6 and went to my home sweet home. Tip: Take care of your lungs guys, if you feel something while breathing deeply then I suggest you get a chest X-ray... That's all for my experience... Kris

kris,
going to any hospital feels like an ordeal to me everytime and makes me always anxiety-ridden . there was a time when i was a 'perennial houseguest' and stay-in patient in hospitals when i had a bout with kidney stones and infection. happened several times and had my stones removed twice in three years using the shockwave lithotripsy. i hated it. i really did. actually i don't relish at all going to the hospital.
glad you're doing better now brad. it's no joke to undergo all those procedures. the mental aspect of it (anxieties, paranoia etc.) can be more cumbersome than the physical ones. so always take good care of the human machine
best of luck man

Nice thing hearing your experience brad, now we've all learned our lessons and lets be extra careful this time kris

how did you have pnueomonia? whats the cause of this? Docs said its the cause of air pollution, and I bike mostly outside making my lungs shady or malabo when I take x-rays, so probably I'll get those air filter masks...

Kris Sorry to hear about your ordeal.... but I hope and pray that you'll find you foot on the pedals again soon. Anyway, it may ahve been caused by pollution, pnuemonia or other pulmonary infection which was previously undetected.

2 more weeks to go Sir minotaur, I'll be riding out my pants again hehehe
I'm quite fine now, just treating the wound due to the tube removed, what's cool about it is that the wound is cross shaped and if it produced a scar then I'll have a cross shaped scar, but right now everytime I replace the bandage, it' produces a slight pain, so I'm okay now...
thanks
