hmmm. hydroxycut..... Don't know much about this product but had a friend who tried it, sabi nya he kept on sweating alot and at times his heart would race up. I'm not sure if this contain caffine or other derivatives. If it does, it may be the culprit.

Hydroxycut and most other fat-burners (Xenadrine, etc.) were basically ECA stacks (Ephedrine, caffeine, aspirin). ECA has been proven to increase fat burning, but since the reported side effects for Ephedrine include death, the substance has been banned in the US.
There's probably a new formulation, without Ephedrine. I doubt it would be as effective as the one with Ephedrine.

The hydroxycut, xenadrine, ripped fuel, etc. available right now is doesn't have ephedrine anymore which reduced it's effectivity. It's basically an upper (increases heart rate) which is a concentrated blast of caffeine.
Results vary. If you like the jittery sweaty feeling all day, then go for it. Beware people with heart conditions, this may worsen it. The heart works double time with this. If you don't think you have a heart condition, you may just find out that you have one.
Mountain Biking Action reviewed these thermogenics. They said just ride the extra miles. I agree.

Ephedra is banned na. So reformulated na Hydroxycut. The new formula still increases your metabolism, but not as good as the original one.

i agree. when ephedra was still available hydroxycut was king of the hill. now the ephedra free fat burners do still work but not as effective anymore. some still experience the inreased sweating (due to the increased metabolism). all of them are safe. but beware abuse. as with anything too much is always bad for you. btw, if you're looking to get a fat burner just as effective as the old ephedrine based weight loss supplements try xenadrine NRG i'm sure this won't dissapoint ;D if you don't know where to look for it (beware of fakes!!! too many going around metro manila!) come to the store Health food and herb products ;D i've got branches in ayala center ad rob galleria (and soon... market market!)

I take 3 pills of hydroxycut before a ride (as prescribed), the effect is that you sweat more and you burn more fat, because you increase stamina…
But before I take it 3 times a day, but the side effect is your heart beats faster and harder…Don’t’t like the feeling. So I only take it before a ride na lang.
Also, better avoid more coffee after taking it, kung dehins para ka ng praning na gising.

[glow=Yellow,2,300]Allegra, if your friend is obese, by nature, go ahead. It's safe. But make sure she follows the dosage religiously and encourage her to exercise. Cardio-training is a must. I recommend kickboxing or "muai thai" for her. It's a very effective exercise, given a very qualified instructor. If your from Q.C. near banawe, Revflex Gym at Retiro Cor. Cordillera has a very capable instructor. If she's got baby-fat only, she can do away with the supplement, and usually, moderate to rigorous training will do her good. I also recommend proper diet. Not the starve-to-near-death diet. YOU CAN EAT THE SAME NORMAL AMOUNT OF FOOD IN A DAY, JUST CHANGE THE QUALITY OF FOOD INTAKE. You can also refer your dietary guideline to Atkins, but, with citrus fruits, veggies and small amount of carbs. Any diet differs from individuals so consult a doctor first to understand further. I hope that helps. [/glow]
