Your wish is my command, Paolo young sensei 12 pax + Coach Eboy Farr + DH Pro Champ Joey Barba + DH Novice champ Paolo Tan Heres the group....Batch A of the HDJ bike clinic Our setup for the HOP [ bunnyhop / j hop] session...used rubber styro crates that flex

The HDJ bike clinic program ...includes safety orientation, ideal bike setup, eating habits of pros, the basic dos and donts... EVERYBODY found the bunnyhop to be the most difficult technique to learn let alone master...a surprise for the pros tsk tsk Our common mistakes : doing double hops instead of front tire first then rear (JHop type clearance..or a manual + lurch down ) "Here s how you do the hop" says Joey Barba..yeah right ;D we wish

The Imus Cavite group....thanks bros Miguel, CJ, Ads and Jojo BikeDaddy doing the low drops.....he nailed higher ones 2ft then 3 ft after this [coach eboy and I allowed some good riders to wear limited armor during low drops and jumps ] Higher Drops ... some 3 footers and a few 4 footers Small Jump shots Alphabolt

Thanks to Coach Eboy, Joey and Paul for the lessons and demonstrations. We were really mesmerized on what these people can do with their bikes. And because of them, we too were able to do things that we thought we cannot do and even think of doing. 'Nel.. were those 4-foot drops that we did? ;D
And of course to Arnel for conceptualizing and organizing this clinic.
I really had a good time with the coaches and all those who attended. Ow... my back still sores because of all those handle bar pull-ups. haha

Joma, Yup..that s what we did dude. OmiGod 4 footers! my first time and evidently yours too. Sayang we do not have pics for those one-time acts Coach, Joey and Paolo are such great teachers that all the tough HDJ troopers felt comfortable doing the optional moves Of course it did help that coach told me that its only a 3 footer....white lie....he knew we could nail that drop [it had a small sharp jump lip and really nice receiver] Kudos to us , Joma brad! lets do it again ...but dont use your Jamis Dakar k...it bottomed out on ya . You and I are not the lightest riders as you know heheheh ;D

Yup. those drops are disguised as low drops since the landing area are inclined. But from where we jumped, I guess it was indeed a 4-foot drop.
Coach Eboy told me as well that my Dakar won't hold too much on me if keep on doing those stuff. Well, I guess I would need to save now to get me an all-mountain bike. But for now, the Dakar would do.
Yup, I will definitely do this all over again.

ditto that Shuzzs. The Finale drop&Jump combo s a perfect example...the 2.5ft only drop became more scary due to the downslope post-receiver. It was actually like the monster downslope at the Fast Din Kami Race...It was very "doable" if not for the small jump lip at the top. That scared alot of riders so some of us chose to drop that downslope and treat the slope as the receiver from the top. Pros in a race would pre-jump those jump lips though No need to buy a new frame for now, batch (I ll call you "batch" ala frat after the HDJ iniation we had heheh)...lets just scout for a Vanilla R shock for it. That s a tough frame naman ...since you stated that you ll do it again and again
